I typically go along the Emerald Necklace; do a loop around the fens, run through the riverway, through Olmsted and then around Jamaica Pond. Gives me the option to extend to Arboretum/Franklin Park or keep it shorter and cut some parts out. Would 100% recommend
On occasion I’ll make my way over to the Charles and go from JFK St down to Arsenal St and then loop back around (or you could go further if you want)

It just goes to showing how screwed up the Republicans have become. I don’t know for a fact the Baker would win again, but I think the odds would absolutely have been in his favor. The Republicans would rather throw away a winnable governorship than pick a moderate in their party, so they end up with the first dual women as the heads of the state and a lesbian to boot, it’s priceless. I’m real liberal but the Baker impressed me on multiple occasions and blew me away with his handling of the pandemic, especially when compared to his fellow Republican Governors. The odds are low that I would have voted for Baker over Healey, but I would have at least contemplated it and have been fine with it if he had won.

Everyone's a critic.
For me, being in Canada adds to a better experience - and better food memories. I totally enjoy poutine more when I travel. But if I account for those biases - I believe Downtown Saus would win in a blind tasting for it's class. It's okay to disagree. :)
For the record - I live near Santarpio's and think it's overcooked and poorly assembled trash. Dough is meh too. There's a good pizza somewhere in there, because the sauce is super garlic forward (which I like) - but it's never come together right. It's still a fun place to go to every now and then for cheap drinks & lamb. I appreciate there's a lot of Bostonians that grew up with it and cherish it, but I didn't and don't.
IMO - Ciao makes the best pizza in the area, and would be a solid contender for 'world class'. Followed by Ernesto's. Though - I love the American-Neapolitan styles best.

Canadian definitely needs to be subdivided into "lived in Quebec" vs "never lived in Quebec".
It's a regional dish with regional expectations. Someone from Edmonton can put in a Canadian vote, but not a poutine heritage one.

That’s just a theme day in a bigger festival, but it’s still hilarious when you put it that way.

They knew Diehl had no shot, they should have just punted on the race and saved money for more winnable elections in the state. Frankly I’m happy they didn’t do that, until Republicans can come to their senses they have no right to win anything so the less money they have to flip something the better.

I swear by parking at the Station Landing garage in Medford and catching the T at the connected Wellington station. It literally does not get easier and just barely is it cheaper anywhere else at $5/24 hours.

The parking garage at Haymarket is $3 for two or three hours with validation. You could park there cheaply and then find street parking after 6 or leave it but I’m not sure how much it costs past that… Common garage is pretty far from the North End…

All-Star Sandwich Bar in Inman has poutine. I really like it but the curds don’t squeak. I’ve had Montreal poutine a bunch and I guess I wouldn’t say it’s exactly like that but it’s still pretty tasty. Out of the somewhat limited options in the area I think it’s at least worth checking out. Their sandwiches are dynamite so worst case scenario, you get a delicious sandwich and poutine that is very enjoyable.

Damn have people had good experiences with Baramor? It was the most disappointing poutine I’ve had in the Boston area. They used the wrong kind of cheese and the fries were mediocre.

If you are not confident and capable of driving in the city, the answer is don't
Take the train from Alewife or a commuter rail line on the north shore.

Yup, it shouldn’t be hidden tribal knowledge how to get downtown. When the silver line is 25 minutes away and you need the transit app to even determine when it’s gonna come next it’s a total shitshow
