For those of us who live in Eastie we would prefer not having to walk into the depths of the airport to take the train to work... It's a classic transit planning debate, do you screw over the people who live near the airport by diverting the line to the center of the airport or do you have shuttle buses

Boston common garage. Fairly easy. Not actually that expensive in relation to other garages . T is right there or just walk the half mile or whatever the north end. I wouldn't drive in the north end for all the tea in China especially if you're coming from a rural area. No room. In a rational world I wouldn't even let non residents drive in there

Yeah, the older I get and the more I travel the less I think proximity to downtown is a benefit. There’s a lot of airports in Europe that are like 30 miles outside the city center, but can be reached directly by transit faster than I could ever drive the <10 miles from Roslindale to Logan.

That, and how the airport being nearby limits development in the city since there are strict height guidelines on approach paths.

I’d rather have the airport be in Framingham with a train straight from South Station…

I frequent, back and forth between Boston and Chicago, every week. Staying in the South Loop. Never had I had too much of any sort of delay on the blue line. I generally give myself an hour.

Also, I am getting used to all the smoking of cigarettes and weed on the L. No one gives any fucks.

Not for nothing but there were MAGA protestors in Swampscott constantly harassing Baker during COVID.

I don’t know where those hillbilly’s came from, how they got their menagerie of Trump flags, or what they thought they were trying to accomplish, but I can imagine Baker just saying “this isn’t worth it” pretty quickly after that.

The Mass GOP put its efforts (and money) behind the Question 4 ballot initiative to overturn the Massachusetts Work & Family Mobility Act. First getting it on the ballot, then attempting to get No to win. They stirred up anti-immigrant fervor and spread misinformation about how state driver's licenses will work for residents without proof of citizenship or immigration status. They were far more successful, as 46.3% voted no compared to the 34.9% who voted Diehl.

As much as I would love that, I still want them to stay. My dream is for Trump to form his own frothing at the mouth party, and assuming they could win a few seats which seems likely, it would actually open the door for us to get out of this horrible two party system. Trump will blow it for sure like he does with everything.
