I totally agree on BBC. My ex is French Canadian and I’ve become very picky about my poutine. Honestly, I just make it at home now because I can do a high gravy to fry ratio.

I've used that shuttle dozens of times. On good days, sure. It's fine. But have you ever had to stand on it, shoulder to shoulder, with 40+ lbs of luggage, for 45 minutes while stuck in traffic? Just to get to South Station?

i live in somerville and had a neighbor with wall shaking music. i went downstairs and asked him to turn it down, he obliged. if ever it gets too loud now, i just text him and he turns it down. i think communication is your friend here.

There’s nothing better than sitting on the train rolling by everyone parked on 90

Reply to Does anyone know of a reasonably priced painter in Boston? We are looking for a painter for our nursery. The best quote we have had so far is $950 for ceiling, walls, baseboards and 2 doors. $950 seems like a lot for a 10x14 room. by lolotaylo
Call Metropolitan Plastering & Painting, they are based in the South Shore but I’m sure they service all of boston. Rafael is the owner, super nice guy reasonable price and extremely professional.

I guess I should clarify that I didn’t mean move it to Framingham and have it serviced by the current commuter rail, but to have something similar to Europe where it’s 20-30 miles outside the city with a direct high speed transit line.

Tuition (currently about $5.5k/year before financial aid) is only a small part of the problem. The bigger issue is that you've got to pay rent and eat while you're going to school. Room and board and such for the year is more like $20 or 30k.

Absolutely do it yourself. Buy a high end brush and do the cutting first. Take your time and skip the painter's tape. Then roll it. Your hardware guy will hook you up. It will take you two hours per coat.

Pretty sure even the state GOP party doesn’t really like him. I worked an event years ago when he was supposed to get nominated for something (possibly to run for Senator?) and they had to do a ridiculous amount of rounds of voting (not as many as McCarthy needed) to get him through.
It took so long my work partner needed to be relieved and then his replacement had to leave and they paid us a bunch of money to stand around all day and not actually do the thing we were hired to do because it was supposed to happen at the end of the event, which at the point the replacement left was running hours behind schedule.
It was a fucking embarrassment. Student run college groups had better organization than those bozos.
Amazing planners

Common garage to the Burlesque show they’re going to is 24 min walking on google maps… If I was getting out of a show late at night after spending the day in town I feel like I would want to be parked closer than a mile and a half and a decent hill away…

It's sad that people having to evacuate through the tunnels happens enough that it doesn't even seem newsworthy around here anymore.

If you’re in a bind, I’ve found cheese curds at Target and Market Basket, IIRC. Packet of brown gravy and frozen fries. It definitely curbs my cravings between trips to Montreal.
