High on Crack Street, Heroin, Cape Cod. They don't hold the greater Boston in the greatest light. But it shows real people and some health crises the states been through.

Reply to Does anyone know of a reasonably priced painter in Boston? We are looking for a painter for our nursery. The best quote we have had so far is $950 for ceiling, walls, baseboards and 2 doors. $950 seems like a lot for a 10x14 room. by lolotaylo
You might want to join Nextdoor, it’s an app that is a very helpful resource for things like this in your community. You’ll find lots of locals with a variety of services they offer. I think you can do much better than $950 for one room. nextdoor.com

With a new born in the house this story has had me completely unnerved. News stories usually don’t get to me but this is heartbreaking for all involved. I can’t imagine what the father is going through.

You could maybe look for a Jack of all trades handyman type who charges by the hour not the job.

What made you say “or just pretend PPD doesn’t exist?”
Let’s stop pretending that reading comprehension is the issue here.

Let’s be honest - the wording of your question was intentional. Saying “pretending” indicates you already have this idea that he’s not doing anything. There’s nothing sincere about your question.

The reason im sympathetic to a degree is that PPD is seriously awful and to be at the level psychosis has to be the absolute worst. She was already getting treatment and by all accounts was not an issue at any point in her life.
I can’t imagine someone who by all accounts was a good mother snapping out of this and realizing they killed their children. That’s where my sympathy lies - when she ultimately ends up getting the help.
She deserves to be punished, don’t get me wrong - I just can’t imagine what she will feel when she is fully with it.

Reply to Edible recommendations for first timer? by Flakybeef
Some people don't ever feel the effects when ingested, so go into your experiment fully knowing you may be one of those people (my husband is).
Honestly it doesn't matter what you try, most of the edibles sold around here seem to be mass manufactured and about the same is sold everywhere, like candy at a gas station. Buy whatever, BUT ... and this is important!! ... only take a half for your first try. Give it hours. Give it the whole night. Do NOT try to top it off if you don't feel much. If it didn't do much, the next day you can try a whole gummy.
Edibles definitely take a longer time to hit, and that time can vary depending on whether or what or when you last ate.
Have munchies around, and lots of water.
(I disagree with the seltzer recommendation, seltzers have never done anything, I think they are a waste)
Also never trust anyone's home-made brownies, and definitely don't eat them on an empty stomach, I once spent 3 days very high on one home-made brownie... very uncomfortably high! I am glad for legal shops with controlled processes so not all the cannabis somehow gets concentrated in the brownie I happened to eat that time... ha.

Seriously? She was getting treatment and he was getting food for the family. I can’t believe there’s anyone who is trying to build a case against him.

If your Uber/Lyft was $50/$60, then there was a traffic issue on the roads and you’d have taken ~1 hour to reach by car as well.
I’ve done this exact journey >10 times and it’s normally $25-30/20 mins via Uber or ~45mins-1hour via the T.

Ah, I see, makes sense. Now I know why the bot didn't email me this time.
Of course, since I'm an illustrator and not a train guy… when I say "line" I usually mean something I make with a pencil, and "branch" refers to the tree I'm drawing… context is everything! :)
