Only if you plan on using handheld mode a significant amount otherwise the bigger battery and better screen are rendered useless

If you have a halfway decent gaming PC you can just emulate

you are clicking it to hard that's why it's clicky.

It's honestly plain and simple with the Switch. If you're looking at games you can only play on the Switch, then yes, absolutely worth it.
If you're looking at other games that are on multiple consoles then no, Switch isn't worth it.
Get the OLED though.

For the games that take advantage of the hardware like motion control or if you play a lot of local multiple player games either on the same device or wirelessly

It depends what you're looking for and what other consoles you own. I have both a Xbox Series X and a Switch and I alternate playing between them. There are times I play on the Switch way more than the Xbox and vice versa. I tend to play on the Switch when I'm in the mood for RPGs, indie games or Nintendo exclusives. So I'd suggest looking at what's available on Switch that interests you and then make a decision based on what you find.

But the adaptive triggers blow the Xbox controllers out of the water any day. Also got both consoles. Xbox is barely used while the ps5 is running very often. Never had the issues u describe, at all. The Xbox gui is an atrocity. Both consoles run silent and image quality wise I can’t see any difference on the multi platform titles I got. Also the seldom used Xbox controller already had an issue, that Microsoft won’t resolve for me and I had to fix it myself, while the daily used DualSense never had any issues. The only advantage that Xbox has is the cheap as hell Gamepass, where u can have 3 years for about 120€.

You could probably use that sculpter gel that guy used for their nerf thumbstick grips but instead form it around where the sticks clack, or like a gel O ring.

I don’t know what the ‘sense5 battery starts off like but I own 2 ‘sense4 controllers and the battery was poor to begin with, they are near useless now and come with a 1m charge lead 😂

Yes but when the Dualsense battery becomes less efficient, you have to buy a new controller, instead of replacing with new battery’s.

You can use a simple monitor for gaming. My work setup doubles as my gaming setup.
I have a PS5. I will still recommend getting an XBOX. With GamePass today, and the direction they’re taking with acquisitions, you’re going to end up with a better value proposition for your games.

I have both controllers I use for emulation and yes the Xbox controller is loud, especially the stupid dpad which renders it useless for older games where as the ds5 is just perfect for that. However, I find the sticks much more comfortable and accurate on the Xbox so it’s the winner for ps1 and up. Even though I think the triggers are higher quality on the ds5, I think the Xbox wins there too simply because of the placement of each. All in all, the ds5 is a higher quality controller

Yep, feels and sounds like a cheap knock-off.
And the less said about the d-pad, the better. The damn Stadia controller had a better d-pad.

Yeah, I have both PS5 controller and Xbox and Xbox definitely feels too clicky. Also, it's my 3rd favorite controller behind PS5, Switch Pro respectfully.

Return value though is ideal for when/if the Switch Pro drops.
