Definitely Core designs Tomb Raider for me. TOmb Raider which spanned 5 games was a gargantuan massive franchise back in the 90s and Lara Croft was mascot for PlayStation in the same way Mario was for Nintendo for much of the PS1s life cycle. There were others like Crash Bandicoot and Solid Snake from MGS1 at different times but Lara Croft was consistently there from early on. Definitely Tomb Raider for me.

FF7 absolutely blew me away at the time.
I also think of Abe's Oddysee. That little guy and his fart stays with you....

Reply to I remember when I made a post in the Xbox sub about the series S holding games back and keeping them from truly looking next gen. That post got hundreds of downvotes. Funny to see this now. by Fauxdiophile
I have a PC, PS5 and switch. By far the best game I've played in the last 10 years is Zelda Breath of the wild. The console certainly did not hold the game back.
I play cod and fifa regularly but as a single player game, that Zelda game was immense.

Mortal Kombat and street fighter 2. It’s the first games I ever played, on the first system I ever had. Those series will always hold a special place with me. I’m not even big on fighter games anymore, but I’ll still pick up the new ones from time to time because it reminds me of my childhood.

Those dogs jumping through the window for the first time and the first time you see that zombie turn around and look at you… made me drop the controller and run out of the room as a kid.

Great minds think alike. I answered almost the same thing and then saw your comment. Great choices.
