When you get down to it, it's about the games. And you said yourself PS5 has exclusive games that you want.

You can also buy a PS5, get some games, and then save money for the Xbox. That way you have both.

I agree but it is literally a PC and not really "Jump in and play" as a traditional console would be.

tl;dr: Steam deck is amazing but only get it if you know what you're getting/what you want it for.

Make sure you know of the games you want to play are supported as there are a few games that have the supported tag but aren't anymore because they don't get updated after the first verification. Yet.

Some games can play even if they are labelled as unsupported but there might be some things you need to do first like use a specific version of proton or install the github build.

What steam is doing for linux gaming is fantastic but its far from streamlined or standardized atm.

Xbox One will play all but 4 of the same games as Xbox Series X and you can probably get one for $120.

Switch is well worth it

If you play on a 1080p tv get a Series S, if you play on a 4ktv get a Series X. Series S ain’t bad tho. It’s nice and compact and keeps up with the X in terms of frame rate and loading time. But it might be worth it for you to spend the extra on the X. The ssd on the X has about 800gb of free space and the S has about 350gb. The X can also play your disc based Xbox one games and Blu-ray movies. And you get 4K graphics. But either one is a good choice.

I've decided on the Xbox, as it's more powerful, better controllers imo, better menu, and I hate ps fanboys. Just trynna decide between the series s and X. Also about the same games, it's about getting 120fps and not about the game choices rlly

True, but when someone pointedly states "its the ps5 or the ps4" it does seem less like rreccomending their favourite and instructing op on which is best.

Making a decent argument or even saying "my personal opinion/imo/my favourite Is..." would seem less instructive and demanding.

You will be playing basically the exact same games that you play on your one s if you get a Series X. PS5 will give you access to games that you haven't really had a chance to play, alot of them being single player, and still get all the important multiplats. Also consider if you care about trying out the PSVR2 that is releasing next spring. There is no such equivalent on xbox.

The only things better about ps5 are the exclusives and the controller. Xbox is better in everything else.

I think the point of asking the question was to get people's opinions, so nothing biased about suggesting the one you like personally. After all, this isn't really an objective exercise. How could it be?
