I've never sold a console. I still have every one from NES to PS5 with the exception of the newer Xbox ones. There have been plenty of games that I've sold and regretted though.

If I ever do buy a new used ps2 or psp or ds I’m definitely saving them this time, cuz I’ve thrown away plenty of consoles before never used to save things unless I used them

My little cousin wanted my ds I didn’t want to give it away but his dad took it from me and goes ur not a kid u don’t even use it, my psp I got bored of playing the same game over again it cracked somehow then I just got pissed and threw it broke it more and threw it away. i regret it now badly cuz I never knew you could access wifi and stuff on psp idk if I didn’t use something back then I never saved it

But listen. You can always get a ps as well. So it's not the end of the world. I've had ps4 and now ps5 for a while. And I'm kind of done with it to be honest. It's basically the same thing one after the other. I might get an xbox at some point, but I might as well sell what I have and be done with games in general.

For a ps4 owner, I would not recommend ps5, because you will end up playing the same games you played on ps4. Literally the same games, with some fancy improvements. Core experience a carbon copy.

I also disagree with your assessment that the xbox menu looks better. It looks ugly as shit.

Honestly I’ve never really cared all that much about graded games. I just care about if it is loose, complete, sealed or something in between

NP - As for games, there are TONS of 2600 sealed games. Only a few will be worth anything. Always remember the crash of '83. You can get a graded 9.8 A++ for less than $100 if you don't care about the title ;P

But when you do find a rare 2600 cart.... it's rare ;P

High end rare games are on a DOWNWARD trend right now. Literally noone is grading games ATM 'cause you can buy them graded for the same price as raw. Now is the time to BUY ---- not SELL.

My advice? Sign up to Heritage Auctions. They hold Weekly (Tues Night) auctions that usually end pretty cheap. Then they also hold SIGNATURE auctions (every few months) where they high end stuff, and they high end rollers come to play.

Also, check out GetTheGregGames on Youtube. He covers this stuff extensively and also has live reactions to the auctions.

I don’t really collect old games/consoles but I am interested in it. I do like to check the prices of rare games/consoles but I’m not very efficient in looking. I basically just check price chart and eBay. I would really like to learn how to efficiently look for rare games and consoles.

Controllers I'm assuming will phased out, just like the console - some may stay in circulation, but let's say somehow every ps1 Controller ever made somehow broke tomorrow that would be it, they're all gone - no more of the official playstation ones. However 3rd party Controllers would still probably be made

I see no reason for Xbox if you have a PC. I have xbox game pass on my PC and it sits next to my PS5 connected to an LG CX Oled. It's just a big xbox that plays pc games, mods, pays bills and all of the other stuff PC's do.

If you want to see Playstation exclusives just Google GOTY nominees every year for the past 12 years and you'll find 2 or 3 almost every year.

Regarding your question, check some PS exclusives games gameplay on youtube and if you like them then get PS. Otherwise get xbox. Btw, some sony games are also on pc now and more will come.

As a user of both the Xbox one S and PS5, I can confidently say thus far I’ve used my Xbox more, but I can assure you that I much prefer the PS5 console, as soon as discord voice is on PS5 my time on the Xbox will be reduced drastically
