Yep, not sure how people in this subreddit can confidently recommend things like the switch when the deck is just so much better for way cheaper

Have to agree about RDR2. I have passed 1700 hours on multiple playthroughs, plus as someone who was 43 at the time of first completion and has played games since the early 80's a game has never ever reduced me to tears before.

Except maybe double dragon on the C64. That reduced me to tears as my younger self was expecting an arcade quality conversion :-)

It depends on the type of games you enjoy, but I'd recommend ps5. It has a bigger variety of great games. The only time I'd recommend a switch is maybe if you often traveled.

Also PS5, if you want high quality exclusives and a better social experience with friends because of share screen and shareplay. PS Plus is also great value with a large catalog of games and you get free games every month that you can keep forever so long as you’re subscribed.

Xbox Series X if you want GamePass, which is the best deal in gaming. Hundreds of games, including day one Xbox exclusives, access to EA Play and Ubisoft games.

I got a PS5, because my last console was the PS4 and I wanted to stay in that ecosystem and have access to all my games and trophies. There’s nothing on the Series X I want to play right now.

PS5, the Dualsense is a great controller and with PS+ Extra you won’t have to worry about buying anything for a while because you’ll be able to play Demon’s Souls Remake, Returnal and Spider-Man: Miles Morales, all great games, not to mention all of the other titles that are on there.

Because u already have a ps4 I would suggest buying the ps5 with the disk drive in it so u can play all your ps4 games and also get better quality it is up to u I would get a ps5 tho bc the controllers are nice and the layout it's similar to ps4 unlike xbox and the controllers

I’ve been with Xbox all my life so personally I’d chose the Xbox….ps5s look cooler but the Xbox series x has better performance I’ve played on a ps5 (my uncles) and a Xbox series x ( my dads) and the Xbox series x feel way quicker at loading game up but when I upgrade to next gen I’m going Xbox

PS5 is more popular and in demand so switch would be easier to get . I'd say PS5 bc of the hype it gets but I'd personally prefer a switch even though ps5 has ALOT more games xx
