I have left Forbidden West out intentionally because there was a DLC announced recently. They'll probably put out a Complete Edition like with the first game (which I have). That's when I'll buy it.

I've already played Ghost of Tsushima on PS4, including the expansion and sold my copy. Will get the PS5 version again, down the line.

Kena Bridge of Spirts, I already own on Steam, so no need to buy it again.

Elden Ring, is a question mark because as I said, I haven't played any Souls games. Would this be a better entry point than Demon's Souls Remake?

As I stated, in one of my other comments, I distinctly stopped on these 3 games, because they are PS5 exclusives. I want to see which of the 3 would give me the best "next-gen" experience (which is now current)

I know. It still sucks, but at least it's not as bad as it used to be. A decent number of people have their hands on the console already, so I'm glad I don't have to wait months in between stock supply to get it. As for, the recommendation, I can agree Insomniac have built a good name for themselves. But I'm curious, what exactly did you not like about Returnal?

I love both Returnal and Demon's Souls. They both have that next gen feel and aren't available on previous gen. BUT they are both included with a PS Plus Extra subscription (which is about the cost of one game). So I would recommend Ratchet and Clank if you plan to get the subscription (which you should).

I don’t love it so much it’s not even mine, I’ve got a series x, disk version of the PS5 and a PC I don’t have storage issues hahaha. It’s not like you need to swap games back and forward all the time is it, you’re not grasping the concept. The series s is a good console for the money, discussion over.

Aren’t the components inside also specially made for the consoles? I feel like I read an article before this gen came out that they get parts at a deal because they custom design them with the company that makes them and then buys them at such a huge stock for a reasonable price to help keep costs down.

The $30 external HD that you love so much is slow. Swapping games from one drive to the next takes forever. All new games don't come with 2 versions. Extended storage of $100, not $200. I use CD Keys to buy games on my PC that I already have on console. Nobody waits to find games at thrift stores. You're not grasping the concept.

1440p is the highest resolution they might achieve with dynamic resolution not only rarely hitting the target, but often dropping below 1080p in high burden situations.

You know regardless of target resolution, these consoles rarely hit 1440p in performance mode.

If you know this, why make a deceptive statement?

Don’t all new games come with two versions? Even still, you don’t need to play them directly from the hard drive, you can swap them back and forth from console to external hard drive, your comment about extending storage for 200$ is just stupid when it doesn’t cost that much at all. You’ve clearly never used Cd keys have you. Keep waiting to buy 2-3 year old games at thrift stores for 5$, or you can simply buy cheap a month or two after a release from cd keys. Just stop commenting back you’re making yourself out to be stupid.

I’m a bit late but whatever as someone recently got both I’d say the ps5 is the say to go. They have far better exclusives right now and far higher fidelity. But if you’re looking for a family console go with the switch for sure.

Console manufacturers have also been known to withhold the true spec/capabilities of a machine and then update the developers throughout the console's life cycle. This is how you get better looking games year after year on the same hardware.

They can also, in the case of the PS vita hand held, withhold or reserve a certain amount of system capacity for later expansions or software updates, that they can give back to the developers if/when they decide they don't actually need it.
