Would be interesting to see how many of the non-US based research and development projects have financial ties to US sources of funding and/or expect to make money on their products by selling at higher prices in the US.
I remember looking this up years ago and basically found that the vast majority of biomedical research in the world had ties to the US health industrial complex in some major financial way.

Those are good points. They are covered in the page cited in the infographic. I like to include all detail within a visualization but then people tell us the graphic is "too busy".

The madness is Chile, an underdeveloped country, in political and economic crisis, which grows less than Haiti, with corrupt and mediocre politicians, with a government of incapable socialists and communists, with a huge bureaucracy, which accepts and accepts immigrants. And next year will be worse. Do not come friend. Chile is very bad.

I don't like commercial things in general but I do like the idea of people getting paid for doing research and visualization instead of having to keep shelling them out for free.

True. It can be part of a breach but is rare which is why the share is so small in the DBIR column. It is an incident type that gets a lot of hype despite rarely resulting in data exfiltration.

I did my first two years and it was something like $40 a unit, so super cheap. The most expensive parts were usually the books.
At the end of the day, when an employer asks for the degree, they don’t care what you did freshman and sophomore years

On a related note, the tax rate on top earners has been steadily going DOWN since the 50s. See https://video.twimg.com/tweet_video/EX62u9bXsAUtRO8.mp4
Think this might be related in inequality?

Father of a college kid. This is pretty spot on. And should be considered criminal that it costs $45k a year to get an education at a public school. Totally criminal. Pisses the heck out of me.
