Interesting map @malxredleader ! Can you help me reproduce the data? ... I go to https://www.iucnredlist.org, click the "magnifying glass" by the search box, leave type=species, leave taxonomy as default (fungi, plantae, anamalia, chromista), Red List category (I select Endangered and Critically Endangered), I expand Land Regiona -> expand North America -> expand United States, and select North Carolina. I assume the (63) beside North Carolina means there are 63 matches. ... but the map says 136.

These numbers of that wikipedia article are based on FMI and Heritage published data. In the wikipedia article there are the links.

The FMI grouped the countries by geographic continents... not political agreements. For this reason i mentioned the continent specified by original source data (FMI).

Hey I think making a scatter plot will convey the information much better. Try a scatter plot with gdp per capita on x-axis, pop growth on y axis, and each point representing a country. Then in excel you can add a trend line and R value if you want to see how closely correlated they are

i worked at a school in berlin with 90% polish pupils for years and i didnt even know that that amount of misguided catholicism still existed in europe. of course one could argue that these were all polish expats but i have my doubts that they turn religious as soon as they leave the country but are atheists before :)
