If you DCA every paycheck for a 40-year career, you're likely to see better returns than any other passive strategy.

>around 4 times less,
Does that mean 1/4 as much? You're implying that a 75% reduction isn't a HUGE difference? Maybe "minuscule" was a bit of an exaggeration, but not by much.
If we eliminate all rice farming (possibly the most widely consumed food in the world) what do we replace it with? Corn?
From the article: "rice contributes about 10% of emissions from the agriculture sector globally"
That sounds bad, right? But wait... "Rice paddies account for approximately 12% of the global croplands of the planet" -- https://www.researchgate.net/publication/255623930_Rice_in_the_Global_Food_Supply#:~:text=Rice%20paddies%20account%20for%20approximately,%5B4%5D.%20...
So, 12% of our food production results in 10% of our emissions. That seems like rice is a below average emitter of carbon.
Check my math please.

Five years ago, Bitcoin's price was $15,145. Right now it's $16,849. That's an 11% increase. In the same timeframe, the S&P 500 has increased 41%.
EDIT: If you include inflation and S&P dividend reinvestment, Bitcoin looks even worse.

And this is coming from someone born in another colonial country called Canada. Canada treated (and still treats) its Indigenous peoples HORRIBLY. The country's policies over several centuries resulted in the subjugation, mistreatment, abuse, and in some cases even complete eradication of Indigenous people and communities.
The difference is that Indigenous peoples in Canada make up less than 5% of the population versus over 80% in South Africa. Imagine being so stupid that you would mistreat, subjugate, and underinvest in people and communities that make up over 80% of your country's population. And you wonder why South Africa is in such poor shape with high crime, high unemployment, bad infrastructure, etc.

Bitcoin gave up almost all of its five year gains. It's astonishing how quickly it fell. I wonder how much of the 2021 price runup was driven by wash trading and other shady activities that couldn't be kept up when some of the major traders failed.

You'd have to drop Bitcoin, but I think it would make stocks look better, USD worse, bonds meh, and real estate all over the place.

This is terrific advice. Dump your money into an index fund or target date fund and forget about it for a decade or three. You can't beat the returns per hour of work.

Look up I bonds. They're almost too good to be true. They are incredibly safe and hold their value against inflation. The only downside is that you can't make a withdrawal for a little while after you buy them.

This is my point, im not Saudi but to pretend its not a developed place is just ignorant. And even more funny since half of the complainers are actually allies with Saudi.
