I'm sure you could easily name dozens of things. Unclear why OP just arbitrarily chose these.

Isn't that the case for pretty much all of American history?

Fun fact: The two actors got married IRL.

Is there anything that Americans are less accepting now a days?
Shadowkiller00 t1_j32tf18 wrote
Wow. The only one I find truly surprising is the married affair. I wonder if there is a divide between:
"I think my having an affair while married is morally acceptable."
Vs
"I think my spouse having a married affair is morally acceptable."
Vs
"I think others that are not me or my spouse having married affairs is morally acceptable."
I suspect that there is a lot of, "My married affair is the only morally acceptable one because I have good reasons for it while others are just cheaters."

This chart shows the GDP of China, Japan, India, Russia, the UK and the EU as a percentage of American GDP in each year between 1992 and 2022.

The EU27 figure includes GDP of all current 27 member states, regardless of their membership in the Union in the past.

US companies haven't actually been repatriating those profits though. They leave them overseas to avoid taxes.

Has this chart taken into account the potentially unborn animals given a reduced demand? Are they also considered as saved?

Just because you can think something up doesn't mean it makes sense in reality. Sometimes those thoughts end up being useful, of course, but in this case that's not the case.

I can't get what I want because others have a different opinion, so I hate it here. Change our voting system so that I get what I want, and fuck them.
Typical Reddit comment.

Thankfully we humans have the ability to think in the subjunctive mood. Helps with planning for the future and learning from past mistakes. Are you human?

Seems like the EU has decided to pick the approach of being the world’s regulator for tech companies rather than being its innovator like Silicon Valley has become. Which is understandable; frankly, I just think that the risk culture and defense spending in the US that led to its behemoth tech industry exist in a different culture than that of many European nations. Unless that changed, I sadly don’t think the EU has much of a chance of catching up the US or even China.
