Right. Democrats can’t wear a tan suit, buy cookware, or fall off a bike without half of the country losing their God damned minds. Please have some self awareness for your own tribe.

Reply to comment by latinometrics in [OC] Uruguay slashed its informal economy by half in just 10 years. by latinometrics
Are they reducing the amount of informal economic activity by eliminating it or are they reducing it by converting it into more formal economic activity?
Just eliminating the informal economic activity without a corresponding increase in formal activity doesn’t seem like a good thing.

I'm sure everything in government will go just as great as it did from 1859 to 1865

The map is about tree density, no elevated earth masses, so if there are as many trees in those places as there are in the ocean, I think the map does its job

Really? McCarthy got the votes he needed in the end. I am 100% positive this would be praised if democrats did it.

That's not the point. There needs to be a delineation between where the coast ends and the water begins. It can be a border or the water can be a different color, doesn't matter.

Imagine If he would have fully committed his Grande Armee in the battle of Borodino to completely cutoff and destroy the retreating Russians, there's a good chance most of Europe would be speaking French right now.

This is peak /r/dataisbeautiful what a gorgeous graph. So much information from disparate categories but you can easily see how they relate to each other.

This graph was created in 1869. The brown line shows the march to Moscow while the black line shows the return. Note the freezing temperatures during the return reaching a low of -38 °C (-34 °F). Only 93,000 survived out of the initial 685,000. More about the Grand Armée here.

Because there are 20 or so maniacs in the party that caused this just for the sake of being dicks essentially... They asked for things in return for their vote, they got those things and then still wouldn't vote for Kevin Mccarthy. Pretty sure either party would get shit for that.

The tan suit is a decent example of republicans freaking out over something stupid…but cmon Biden falling off the bike was hilarious. You can’t be so biased that you think that wasn’t funny
