I think percent of capacity would be a better metric. For all I know this could be from 5% of capacity to 12% of capacity which wouldn’t be a big deal. Or is it full?

Yeah it used to be creative and unique ways of showing data.
Now it's just clickbait tables that could be made in excel with no link to the data or context

It's amazing how most visualizations posted in this sub are the opposite of beautiful. Sad really.

Great feedback, I'll look into doing a year on year comparison for context.

Is this exceptional? How about a comparison with previous years to see how unusual it is, if at all?

Shouldn't the location used for a school be where their campus is? The University of Connecticut (#118 on the chart) campus is in Storrs, CT. The chart seems to be using East Hartford as their location. UConn plays their home football games at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, which is 20 miles away from campus. They play half of their home basketball games in Hartford at the Civic Center.

Source: California Data Exchange Center
Tool: Tableau Public
Note: I pulled this data last week. Since then, the water storage has gone up to 4,700 ft.

It's cool and all but 14,000 acres to produce 2500MW is a lot of land. Some places can manages that but still unreasonable for a lot of the world.

I remember when this was an anti Apple argument, because of laptop batteries. People are just now coming out of the woodwork to complain about things from the EV and green angle, but didn't see these people cry out for the birds when we talked about cat registration and castration where I live, only when it was a thing with windmills did bird lives suddenly matter. Same with EV, cobalt is used in oil and gas refineries, but there it isn't recyclable.

It's bizarre than one of the largest (often said to be the biggest) photovoltaic complex in the world is not even listed: Nour 1, 2 and 3 in Ouarzazate, Morocco.

You're right.
And I am certainly not endorsing the congo.
But the people who come out of the woodwork to make these arguments usually are not sincere.
Suddenly they care about unethical child labor in the Congo. Suddenly they care about birds getting killed by windmills. Suddenly they care about the environmental impact of mining lithium.
Bullshit.
They don't sincerely care about those things. Otherwise they would object to all the other unethical labor practices in the world. Otherwise they would seek to protect endangered species in oil rich habitats. Otherwise they would object to toxic mining practices used to extract coal and oil.

I’m telling you the actual reason that is, which you and most native New Yorkers don’t know.
Funnily enough, I’ve also lived here my entire life and just happen to know more weird trivia than you.

Because the Egyptian government hasn't proposed them. Unesco sites are not selected by Unesco, but the different governments must propose them, and then the Unesco member states will vote for them. So, to have more Egyptian sites on the list, first the Egyptian government must select (tentative list) and propose them for selection (nomination).

I’m not sure about this. Northeastern seems like it should he ahead of BU as it is actually more downtown and near the high density areas. Especially with growth in Boston towards more downtown
