Odds are most if not all their shares are preferred stocks so they’d have a higher percentage in voting rights!!
Edit: Class A stocks not preferred stocks

I’m guessing you came in with your masters completed already?
That’s one large difference between US and EU Ph.D.s In the US you can start straight out of Uni(College) and makes the process takes about 5-6 years in the US

Good question!
“For the pay of the typical worker, we use average compensation (wages and salaries plus benefits) of a full-time, full-year production or nonsupervisory worker (a group that makes up about 80% of the private-sector workforce).”

The graph in the middle that uses the top view of the trucks themselves to plot the size of cabs vs beds over time might be the best data visualization I’ve ever seen.
Cool share and genuinely beautiful data.

Best advice I always see is first and foremost just making time for it, it sounds simple but with so many different ways to spend your time nowadays it takes a conscious effort to carve time out to read, even just starting out reading 30 minutes a day and you'll notice a dramatic uptick in the amount of books you're reading. Try reading in different formats, (physical, ebook, audiobook), having a designated "reading place" can help people get into that mode of reading. If you're not enjoying a book, move on, don't force yourself to read books that will make it feel like school and at the end of the day reading is supposed to be fun. Hope this helps.

Honest question. How does the history of CEO pay / market cap compare? Can't seem to find this online.

Could this also be due to companies getting significantly larger since 1978, with the CEO having more underlings and this supposed greater responsibility?

If you think about its easily doable. Lets say OP reads one page per minute, which should be doable. Then reading two books a weak, with an avarage of 300 pages means reading 600 minute a weak, which is is a bit more than 85 minutes a day. Even if you read slower, reading two hours a day should be doable. Ofc only if you enjoy reading

Do you really believe this? What is the frictionless mechanism by which a worker can get fair compensation for the value they bring to the company? Quit their job? That sounds smart...

I read every night before bed! It's such an ingrained habit now I can't fall asleep without doing it.
I also don't watch much tv (ironically because I find it hard to sit still and focus), so that time goes to reading too

I admittedly don’t know many details about San Francisco geography and team rooting interests/loyalty, but your response made sense. This past summer I happened to drive by where the 49ers play, and I was surprised at how far away it seemed from San Francisco. But I just assumed it was still in the heart of 49ers country. I guess the real lesson is owners will do whatever they want, fans be damned!

Technically what is presented is for Ford pickups not all American pickups though I'm sure the trends still line up

This kind of shit should be outright illegal. Cut salaries or have a large layoff? Should be criminal to get a bonus, increased pay, etc. for at least a year following the event.
