Agree with labels, that would look more professional, in this case - thought of sharing it as a piece of art. By the way - thanks so much for giving an elaborate reply on the differences in colours - very much appreciate that!

I would like to see some labels on both axis, especially the time-axis. I found the scalogram to be problematic for audiosignal that are a few seconds long.

The scalorgram shows the power distribution over time and frequency of a given signal. So in a sense you can say that the colors represente how strongly a frequency (y-axis) is present at a point in time (x-axis).

Yes, a lot I'd say - here's a list what are the biggest advantages:
+) In Moodistory you can create as many entries per day as you want - not just one. The calendar will show the average.
+) You can add location & photos to entries.
+) You add activities (aka events) to entries which will be analyzed.
+) Moodistory has an in-depth analytics sections which let you do drill-downs from a top level chart down to the underlying entries.
+) In Moodistory, the mood scale is customizable (and not fixed on a scale of 1 to 5 as in Pixels)
+) You can use iCloud for auto backup (or just alternatively manual backup just like in Pixels)
+) Reminders are much more sophisticated (e.g. random reminders, custom reminder tones etc.)
+) You can import data from other apps using the wizard-like import feature (via CSVs).
And these are not even all advantages. :)

To tell you the truth - coughs are super colourful! Usually people are not used to pay attention to cough in general, and this is about to change big time! And in regards to the visual - another example in different colours here: https://ibb.co/7VXJm79

Thank you, for your clearly articulated and polite comment!
> I am worried you're asking for equality for the sake of making things equal but not necessarily equitable.
To clarify, I don't want equity as in 50-50. I think we should think a little bit about what the effects having large disparity could have on society in any given field, and If the disparity has negative effects we should attempt to minimize the negative effects possibly by encouraging entry into that field.
> I ask the question "Would patient outcomes be any different if there were more male nurses"
So this an effect that does happen:
Example, My father in-law has serious issues currently, he can't stand, change himself, and wears a diaper. This morning he needed 3 females to help change him and get him into a wheel chair. His pride was hurt by having to be naked in front of these women, in a way that does not happen when I am there to assist him alone. If enough male assistants were available he would feel much better about it, also he is not large as in your example so it is mainly in this case a pride issue.
> People's interests are their own, and so long as no one is disallowed from pursuing their own interests, I don't think any harms being done. In fact any attempt to equalize this normal distribution could come at a cost of limiting peoples natural interests
I agree people should pursue there own interests and never be forced into anything. I even think that encouragement should be limited to cases where there are larger nock on effects, that are identified.

There are babies dead. Parents who have lost children. 3 year olds that no longer have a mom or home. Pets crushed. Families who have lost everything. People who can no longer even log on to look at something like this because they don't have a computer. But it's super pretty, I'm totes going to put it on my Facebook and pray /s
Like fuck off with trying to go viral with tragedy.

Why not a Fourier transform? I’m many years out of practice but is a wavelet transform just for computational speed or are you specifically trying to accentuate certain qualities?
Edit read your other reply - nice
