This is actually pretty insightful! Being a Patriots fan, I'm well aware of the pace of 3 of the 4 games you share, as well as the last Chiefs win. The quality of the game seems to negatively impact earnings, but only in terms of "come back victories". The game against the Rams was a great game, with a defensive showcase, but even with the home team playing, it wasn't enough to distract the locals.

Without the first game, it would seem consistent that you make a bit more during and shortly after the game. (Perhaps "winnings" by bettors?) Perhaps someone won big in 2018?

Regardless, you obviously upped your earnings each year, which is commendable for anyone. =) Keep it up, and Go Patriots! =)

Made with https://sankeymatic.com/build/

All values and data taken from US W2 tax forms, IRS tax return info, employer pay stubs and bank statements.

Expenses are for a low CoL location for a single male, early 30s.

Decided to show all expenses as a percentage of my base income. Not sure if this gives a better picture or not. I make these each year as a product of managing my finances, but only share occasionally.

A few notes:

No cellphone bill. Employer pays that.

Groceries includes food, hygiene, and cleaning products.

Easy…

It’s 0 to 90 on a scale of lines that measure the ups and downs of the topic of what and how and the difficulty as perceived and also related to being a developer and then there’s the years where up and down blue lines are going left to right…

I think is speaks for itself really /s

My job search in a major city with COL 10% higher than national average. Highlighted cell is my current position salary. I over-applied because I didn't realize the extent of my qualifications. I used SankeyMATIC to generate and excel/word to add cells (sorry don’t know how to do otherwise)
