Wild, can’t believe i missed this. Guess it was hinted that the facility was built in an abandoned salt mine. Though according to the wiki, it only mentions upper Michigan and most of salt mines were in the northern part of the lower peninsula, so it was probably actually not in the UP, on top of being a fictional location ;) Thanks for teaching me something nerdy today OP!

Well, that is what it all added up to!
Comparing it to the prior 2 years, this number is between the two, despite inflation. It's very consistent, actually.

I would point out that both Venezuelan and Mexican oil are state-owned/operated production firms...also in both countries the governments use them to fund government spending and there is little to no capex in keeping up/expanding oil production...basically the state is really bad at running companies efficiently, and often uses them as a piggy-bank, which has been generally true forever. Governments suck at running companies/making them grow long-term. Capital allocation is terrible within these companies generally speaking.

Who cares!? Why is this interesting to people. It offers no insights into anything. I'm tired of seeing all these stripper earnings posts. What can I learn from this data? Nothing! It's just attention seeking behavior.

So you likely spent less than that in groceries? It just doesn't seem to add up.

I think more interesting than the SB+Monday earnings is your daily average growth rate during those four years.
You mention that you were doing poorly in the 2017 club, and it shows that after you left you had a 43.75% increase in daily earnings. Next year was only 14%, but after that you had a 54.52% bump. Would be interesting to know what changed from in that year.
Was it something you were doing, or was it something beyond your control?

Guessing this is because of the part of the Permian Basin that crosses into New Mexico? I know that it does and that the Permian Basin is part of the backbone of the shale economy here in Texas.

I cook and prepare the vast majority of meals at home.
The few times I did dine out were either: paid for by friends/family, paid for by my work, or I paid cash and did not track it. I had only a few hundred dollars in untracked cash purchases throughout the year, and not all were for dining out. Credit/debit cards show no food or restaurant transactions outside of my primary grocer, butcher, and a handful of trips to Walmart.
The visual and all numbers are in % of my base income; base income is just the sum %, so 100%. Actual cash values may differ as my income is not $100,000.

One thing to note, though, is that New Mexico's proved reserves, while second largest of all states (Texas by far and away in first spot), there are only 4.9 billion barrels of proved reserves. At the rate they're pumping, they may tap all known reserves within a decade. This is compared to Venezuela, which is the country with the largest pool of proved reserves at 300 billion barrels - even more than Saudi Arabia. So they have room for continued production for many decades. (Mexico, for comparison, is closer to New Mexico in proved reserves at 5.8 billion barrels)

Yes it's very much the result of exchange rate fluctuations. 2008 was when the Euro was at its historic hight against the US Dollar.

Good point, it is per 100k population. But even if women can't drive in Saudi, they can still ride in cars and die in road accidents, although WHO statistics show 87% of reported road traffic fatalities were men. I also can't figure out if a pedestrian killed by a car counts as a road traffic fatality.

It's per 100k population not per 100k drivers

>The point of reporting deaths per 100k is to account for differences in the number of drivers.
I thought it was per 100k people, not per 100k drivers? If it's 100k drivers, that might explain it.
