I don’t like being more than 15 minutes from a chip shop, but I live up north so that’s never a problem.

College administrators are just business owners. The students are told it doesn't matter how much it costs, just take out as many loans as you need. Getting that bachelor's degree in liberal arts will pay itself off immediately. Don't worry about the $50,000 in debt. They can raise their prices as much as they want it seems. There's no obligation to actually use any of the increased tuition for the college. They can just keep raising the price and keep raising the administration's salary. At the end of the day it's all about how much money the administrators can make. The actual education, the teachers, the curriculum, is all part and parcel to their money-making scheme.

It's a great metric as it accounts for a lot.
My only critic it is not the goal on brexit as much as you think.
I am 100% against Brexit but playing devils advocate. We entered the EEC is the late 60. If you look at the graph, we took a greater knock then vs now.
Edit: we joined in 73, but the point remains.

I haven’t been to any European stadiums but can you guys really get out in 2 minutes? In the US takes like 20 minutes just to leave the stadium then 20 minutes of security to get back in.

These aren’t new rules. You honestly think that players didn’t want to tackle the quarterback because of rules that were implemented years ago? How has anyone ever tackled a hobbled quarterback in a big game in the last 10 years if that was the case?
Mahomes is historically good as sack avoidance based on sack rates, and field conditions were tough for edge rushers who excel at getting up field quickly and using their bend to get around tackles (I.e. the way the Eagles get after the QB).
I’m curious do you follow the NFL?

Hear me out, guys - capping student loans based on the earning potential of graduates with similar degrees could be a game-changer! 💡🎓👨🎓 No more crushing debt, no more feeling trapped in a career just to pay off loans. And how about we add some accountability to the schools and the government? Let's face it, no one should be able to rack up $200K in loans for an art degree without government guarantees.

whatever you subsidize you get more of that, they subsidize loans so loans balloon. earlier they used to subsidize education so we got more of that. it really is that simple.

Did the N. Dakota gains from then stick around or not?
I'm thinking of so called "resource cursed" economies (Africa) where the resource they're rich in becomes a curse for future development.

honestly they should use it up sooner rather than later
there still seem to be some oil economies out there that are basing their futures off oil reserves lasting when they should be basing it off whether the demand for oil goes away due to politics, ESG, activism, the youth generating in particular, other alternatives becoming more viable, etc.

Its moreso that housing production has dropped significantly since the great recession, its on the way back up but not nearly fast enough.

My point was that they have managed to operate successfully well before their IPO and associated reporting requirements. They seem to be following best practices and hiring professionals for operations. Then again, aren't these professionals essentially government employees?
Regarding the BOD, do note there are two government ministers sitting on the BOD. The BOD must retain a close relationship with the government, as the government is its only shareholder that matters. The government also has a big impact on the company's profits as its responsible for OPEC negotiations.

Eh, Mahomes was playing injured. Refs would have called almost any hit on him, it wasn't worth it to try.
These rules create the hesitation to even try, in case something goes wrong.

I don't get this. USSR disappears in '90, China passes Germany in around '95 (according to this graph). Shouldn't Germany then be in third place in the first half of the 90s?

It was a single example, not an exhaustive list. And I clearly said it’s not the full reason. At most schools IT accounts for 5-7% of their operating costs. I just would like to see the rise in operating costs included in a breakdown like this to really see a full picture.

But IT infrastructure spending effects all industries including those not tripling their costs. In other words, it’s already factored in.
