The Great Depression lasted for 12 years of high unemployment, and it happened AFTER the Fed was made.

Reply to HYSPLIT Air Dispersion model depicting the potential transport of chemical plumes emitted by the East Palestine Chemical Disaster [Ohio]. Simulating February 3-7, 2023 [OC] by apathyEndsNow
This simulation depicts the steady release of a million pounds of persistent chemical from East Palestine, Ohio. The model was initialized to start around 02Z on February 4th (9PM EST 2/3/23), since the crash site was reportedly on fire after the derailment. According, to AP News, the controlled burn of vinyl chloride started on Monday, February 6th. Consequently, this would have been when the largest plume was likely emitted towards Western Pennsylvania.
HYSPLIT was the same model used by the National Weather Service to assist in evacuations of East Palestine, Ohio [Source]. Please do not harass me to remove this post for not being a perfect chemical model. If you don't like this post, downvote it and run your own model simulation. I'm only posting this since there are reports of folks getting sick tens of miles away from East Palestine, Ohio.
Please don't focus on the exact concentrations of chemical, especially since the EPA has reportedly found additional toxic substances burning at the site (ethylene glycol monobutyl ether, ethylhexyl acrylate, and isobutylene). The main focus should be on the potential threat that trace amounts of carcinogens may have been dispersed far away from East Palestine, Ohio.

Not really though. Let's look at every time where the Democrats or Republicans become more popular, you then end up with a breakaway candidate who could help explore that difference better, but instead that very process means the less popular ideological faction wins because the most popular became too popular to stand behind one candidate. It happened with Nader, it happened with Perot.

Depending on who you ask, ranked choice voting either increases or keeps voter turnout the same.
Edit: Again why the downvote? I’m just quoting data.

I mean in first-past-the-post politicians must be at least loosely tied to the will of the people, otherwise they will get voted out, but yes ranked choice seems to much more accurately pick candidates that reflect what people want.

If they can't handle it, why are they taking it? Even if the problem is the Philippines taking in the world's garbage, the problem remains that they're mishandling what they're taking in. They can say no and make other countries handle their own trash, so I'm guessing the government likes the cash more than they like a healthy environment for its citizens, let alone the ocean.

Since I only use a single checking account and single credit card for all of my purchases, I sort the purchases by vendor type: grocery stores, retail shops, etc. These essentially become my major categories and I then break them down further if necessary.
Purchases may get lumped together if a single store has crossover between product types (think of grocery stores selling food items and personal/grooming items, etc). I won't itemize receipts in these cases. It really comes down to how diligent you want to be with the data, and as you said it can become tedious.
