Very inspiring stuff. Thank you for sharing, I can't imagine it was easy.

Two questions though. First, what does the "r" after some surgeries mean? Second, if you don't mind me asking, what prompted the L4-L5 fusion at 25? I'm a physical therapist and that is quite young for a fusion, so I'm curious.

Data Source: Instagram scraping via Python

Tool: Python, Tableau

Everyday we are inspired by all the insightful and beautiful visualizations shared on social media. As a new visualization contributor in the social media world, we thought it would be interesting to see how many Instagram followers some of our favorite creators, bloggers, and organizations currently have. Also, to see if there are any relations between number of posts shared and follower count.

Interestingly enough, there does seem to be a link between number of followers and number of posts, with the exception of – Chartr and Information is Beautiful, they have considerably high follower counts at a lower number of posts.

Statista is a company specializing in consumer and market data. They have research, statistics, and datasets ranging from several areas of topics and industries. By far, they have the most followers (over 616,000) and also have posted the most with nearly 2,000 posts going back to December 2015.

We are not affiliated with any of the data visualizers on this graphic. However, we do thank them for their inspiration through their work and contribution to the world of data visualization.

If there are any other data visualizers we should have included, please let us know!

My Portuguese has been steadily getting rustier and rustier during the last 10 years because my exposure dropped to 0, but I used to be fluent. I live in Latin America, and though Brazil is pretty close, if I want books I have to have them shipped to the US and back down to me. Books in English and Spanish are pretty easy to get, although some good Spanish speaking authors from the other side of the continent (like Argentina, for example) are easier to find in the US than here (in the Andes).

PS. I really like your reading choices! Solid mix of sci fi and lit fic, which is pretty much my taste as well!

Hey y’all, just made this little JavaScript physics tool that allows you to see the different effect of asteroids hitting the planet, as well as rudimentary visual depictions of society’s slow, horrific descent into mindless, scarcity-driven anarchy, as all life is snuffed out, one by one, on it’s inexorable path to utter oblivion, leaving behind nothing but a gelid, lifeless rock.

It’s just a beta so feedback welcome!

It makes kind of sense that they're not different, solving a rubiks cube is done following a set of different move algorithms that after enough practice become muscle memory, so alcohol will only impair this very little, same way you can type almost as well sober as with a bit of alcohol, muscle memory will only fail you once you start to get pretty wasted
