Sorry. I understand I'm very fortunate to have my job and I was lucky to even get an interview. This isn't really indicative of software engineering in general salaries and more of a lucky anomaly for a small amount of new grads

I also notice when only slightly drunk my brain tends to work a little faster in specific occasions.
E.g. I can write faster and more accurately on my phone when I've had a few beers.

How does this track with population growth? That might be more interesting

I continued living with my parents for most of the time to save money. In September I went to relocate to Seattle but I found out everything was still remote due to covid so I got permission from my manager to just go back to my home state. So that isn't a years worth of rent and only a couple months

Okay, who else tried hitting only their parked car so you could claim imaginary insurance? I can't quite find the right combination.

Yeah, think I’m gunna unsub because these posts are just annoying at this point. It’s just a sankey chart with data I couldn’t give a crap about.

My gf and me wanted to do the same. What tools do you use foe tracking? And do you have a 3rd bank account?

Do you ever pick up other services in the slow periods? Do you do Uber, Lyft, or Amazon Flex while doing door dash?
To me Amazon Flex seems the simplest. Pick up 30ish packages to deliver, do that for a bit, then stop and DoorDash the dinner rush, then finish delivering the packages.

I really can't get behind the terminology here. I mean, surely either you excel at everything - and, accordingly, are a polymath - or not? Why would there be specific categories of "polymath"? That seems totally oxymoronic.

Wow to both your life story and this amazing visual of it! I work in health services research and this by far one of the best, most holistic approaches to a life and health history I’ve seen. Very impressive and happy to see how well you’re doing :)

Well, the default asteroid is almost the same as 99942 Apophis, so you could say we are just test-driving it for the moment

Reply to comment by fiddlers_Gr33n in [OC] I reached my reading objective for 2022 before the end of year, so I did a visualization of my reading stats by MrMelodica
I usually don't have a "reading list" for much longer than a couple of weeks, just a pile of "to read" books, and it shifts a lot depending on my mood.
Still, for next year, my plan is to get to know European literature a bit better. So, what I want to do is read at least one book from an author of each country in the European continent, published after 1900. I'm currently identifying the potential books, and suffice it to say, it's easier to find books for some countries than others...

The funny part is that I do lol. What is your 401k matching? Mine is only 4% and they only match at 50%
