But what if one country was in debt to another country and to pay back the debt, they give them a shitload of money printed specifically just to pay off the debt? Wouldn't it then be the case that this surplus of money is instantly taken out of the first country's economy and then it shouldn't cause inflation there?

They basically mean, we can't do it with our current rocket technology. Our rockets do the bare minimum to get into low earth orbit as it is. They are also horribly inefficient. Most rockets are something like 95% fuel, and 5% 'rocket'. If earth was 50% larger, we would need some alternative to chemical rockets. A lot of people suggest nuclear powered ones, which are possible, but have never really been tested.

In the end, rockets would not be impossible, they would just need to be different from the technology we currently use.

If earth had more gravity, we'd need more force to get us out. I don't know if the 50% figure is a tight limit, but at SOME limit, the amount of fuel you need to escape gravity is more than the amount you can carry, so you stay grounded. That's of course a current-tech thing, future tech might fix it.

A larger earth means a larger gravity, hence the connection

A dancer's shoes will likely not last more than a few weeks. The dancer's feet will change over time, and each new pair of shoes will need to be a perfect fit.

Getting new shoes custom-measured and custom-made would be insanely expensive (especially considering how many dancers would have to have shoes), so mass-production of shoes which get modified by the end user is the most viable way of doing it.

He specifically mentions that it will occur in the richest most developed and technologically advanced country in the world.

It was one of the criticisms of China and Russia, they tried to create communism without a large base of workers, map actually created his own theories based on farmers.

That being said, his writings haven't aged well at all, reading it with a modern lens you can see how aged it is.

Worth noting that the far-left Russian Government ended up spiralling into an authoritarian nightmare that killed a lot more people. Part of the problem with far-left politics is that if you don't have the support of the population you need to introduce all new power structures to force your lack of power structures on the people. And then you open the doors to all sorts of corruption and evil.

Selection is still happening, it just isn't 'natural'. Look at the nations that have a low rate of birth, with many people choosing not to have kids at all. They're basically breaking a chain of evolution billions of years old to an abrupt end by choosing not to pass their genes on.

Whatever factor that is pushing some people to have kids and others to not have any is the evolutionary pressure that is driving whatever form of selection you want to call this.
