netflix explained: credit cards also mentions how if enough customers are using credit cards they have to raise the prices for everything to account for the fees
make it easier for everyone - use cash or debit!

Health care facilities in general have very smooth floors for sanitary reasons. Some ordinary socks can provide little traction on a smooth floor that is capable of being waxed so they provide grippy socks to help prevent falls.

Shoes can be used for self harm, particularly the laces or any structural metal, such as the shank. So no shoes can be left accessible to someone who may be at risk of harming themselves or others.
Medical facilities have hard floors because they are easier to keep clean/clean up, but hard floors are slippery. This isn’t a big deal for people in shoes, but mental health patients may not be allowed shoes. Enter the grippy sock; keeps your feet from cold hard floors while also keeping you from being Bambi on ice.
It’s worth noting that hospitals give these socks to ALL inpatients, regardless of allowed access to shoes. This is because if you’re mostly in bed but have to get up to go to the bathroom (or walk to the chair or whatever), you don’t necessarily want to take the time to put on shoes to walk ten feet and back. The floor is still slippery though, so by requiring everyone to have the grippy socks, there’s less chance of people slipping.
Some hospitals give you different colored socks depending on how much of a fall risk you are, so if you’re seen wandering about the floor staff know whether or not you should be doing so alone.

In a wood fire (and also similarly in a candle flame, or the flame of a simple lighter, or a bunsen burner with the air valve closed, number 1), because the air has to flow into the flame from the outside, there is not enough oxygen in the flame to burn all of the fuel.
Because the fuel in all of these cases is a carbon-based material, one of the products of this incomplete combustion is just... leftover solid carbon, which forms into tiny particles of soot. And because these tiny particles are in a hot flame, they are also hot, and so glow a bright yellow.
On the other hand, in a gas burner for heating, or a bunsen burner with the air valve open, the gas is mixed with air before it enters the flame. That way, there is enough oxygen available to quickly react all of the carbon and hydrogen in the fuel to carbon dioxide and water (this is what is meant by "complete combustion), so there is no soot that can glow, and you get both a hotter flame, and also more heat per each unit of fuel.

PGA snubbed Trump after 01/06 so trump got involved with LIV as a fuck you to PGA. All American presidents sell weapons to SA. I’m not a Trump fan to be clear.

Working the algorithm. They want "sports" to be the first thing google associates the with and not "war crimes".

There is a perfect ratio of fuel to air that is perfect. For example, 2 parts fuel to one part air. If you stray from that perfect mixture, you'll have different flame properties

If we are living in a simulation or something, this theory could hold some water.
It’s interesting to ponder. It blows my mind to think that at some point in the future, when no stars remain, that nothing will exist. Utter darkness. Weird.

It is. Hotter more complete gas fires are blue. "colder" less complete gas fires are orange.

Because they actually make money on the snacks. They make a few cents per gallon, and that all depends on how many other gas stations are around.

The Gateway Process stuff was a bunch of hooey. The CIA report on it is simply someone summarizing what the process purported to be and not immediately dismissing it. Neither that nor Douglas Adams should be taken as anything more than amusement (and prefer Douglas Adams for that purpose, he was much better at it).

So for gas fireplaces is it not burning natural gas provided by the gas company via a line from the street?

Ok, but in terms of your question, it is a concept from a science fiction comedy author, not an actual scientific concept anyone expects to happen.

its called auditory recruitment. basically, when we yawn, the muscles in our middle ear contract and that can mess with the movement of the eardrum and the tiny bones in our ear. these changes can alter the way sound waves are transmitted and result in temporary changes in hearing.

i've always known blue flames to be hotter than orange flames and that orange flames actually indicate less oxygen. can't tell if my life is a lie or not
