No. The hearts of these people just weren't strong enough to handle the trauma caused by the lack of blood flow for however long it was. Someone else's heart could handle it, and their brain would be damaged first. Or it could cause a different organ to fail.

Honestly they just practiced and got incredibly good at it. It was a valuable skill to develop but it had to be tough to learn and get good at.

My understanding is that most modern anti-semitism stems from a roman practice that made it illegal for a Jew to be anything other than a money handler (money handlers were considered dirty), and then the roman economy collapsed. Who do you blame for that event other than the race of people pigeonholed into controlling the money?

That's a nice source and as I said, I accept it and adjust my opinion.
Reserving judgement is not being pedantic. Judging a group by one anecdotal reference is ridiculous.

Not normally, no, that should rarely/never happen. Certainly not during the evolutionary epochs of time that made us how we are today

Then wouldn’t the cause of death for suffocation always be heart attack…?

Yes. You are correct. It's also exactly how it works. B

Reply to eli5: What is a firewall? by This_Caterpillar_330
Originally, it's a barrier that prevents or slows fire from spreading. Some buildings have internal walls that separate them into sections that resist fire spreading across them. If you are inside such a buildingm you'll be able to recognize the firewall as it will have special doors that are either kept closed or have special latches that cause them to automatically close if the alarm goes off or the temperature gets too high.
Vehicles can also have firewalls. The divider between the passenger compartment and the engine compartment of a typical car is called a firewall because it's designed to keep fire and other dangers from the engine from getting to the passengers.
Computer firewalls are named by analogy to physical ones. They are systems which block certain traffic from crossing a network connection. A firewall will have a set of rules saying "this can cross over" and "this can not cross". The specifics of those rules can vary considerably depending on what they are meant to protect against.

When another computer tries to talk to your computer the firewall either allows that communication or not.

Reply to comment by Practical_Chef497 in Eli5: What causes leaves to fall off trees? by ShookeSpear
Trees change color because they are taking back the green chlorophyll, leaving behind only the yellow/orange/red pigments behind. It’s part of the process of going dormant for winter.
It is expensive for trees to operate in the winter in temperate climates. There’s less sun to use, there’s less water available since trees can’t access water that’s frozen solid. To keep leaves working through the winter, trees would need to produce something to prevent freezing and continuously repair damage while getting a reduced benefit from the leaves. Keeping leaves is also a risk when there’s snow or freezing rain because the leaves catch the precipitation and that can cause the tree to break if the load becomes too heavy.
Pine trees and other evergreens get around this problem with a combination of different adaptations. The needle shaped leaves lose less water and catch less snow. The branches are arranged in a way that lets snow roll off more easily. The sap has components that serve as antifreeze. Combined, these let evergreens keep operating through the winter.
Deciduous trees instead maximize efficiency in the warmer months and go dormant through the winter. Deciduous tree leaves and branches maximize the amount of sun they get with big flat leaves and branches that spread far from the trunk and as high up as possible. This lets deciduous trees take full advantage of the sun’s energy when it’s strongest.

A lot of smaller microcontrollers have all the hardware needed to run old text-only games. Often all that's needed to interface to an old serial terminal is the voltage converters.
I am not going to program a used pregnancy test to play doom or moria or any other text-only game.

To add on, disease from excess fat like cardiac problems is much higher associated with belly fat not butt fat.

Right, because the heart uses the oxygenated blood, first, before the rest of the body. Lack of oxygen short circuits the heart so it can't function effectively.

You're being pedantic and ignoring the fact that if a group in practice behaves a certain way, it doesn't matter what their stated goals are. Their actual behavior overrides that. You're not providing some amazing revelation by saying "actually, not all of them are like that". These motherfuckers were still segregated 50 years after the Civil Rights Act.

Reply to ELI5: where does the hatred of Jewish people come from? by [deleted]
In short form, Christians weren’t allowed to loan money for a long part of history. Jews didn’t have these same rules, and would often loan money. This lead to the common trope of Jewish people being greedy and/or running the banks. Then a false text called the protocols of the elders of Zion was widely spread. This text informed a lot of hitlers views and was even included in school curriculum.
