Because tire pressure is about the absolute pressure of the gas within the tire, not the difference between inside and outside. The gas within the tire has to apply enough force on the tire to keep it from deflating due to the weight and movement of the car. The ambient air pressure has nothing to do with this. Once the pressure drops within the tire, the gass can't exert enough stress on the tire to keep it in shape.

It's exactly what the News programs were about. Maybe you didn't see them or maybe you weren't old enough when they were aired but it was a HUGE concern and there were organizations and committees that fought tooth and nails to get video games like these .. and this one SPECIFICALLY (GTA) banned from the market and being made Exclusively because of the influence. Random shooting and hang violence with the age group being exposed to those games was a Hot Topic and under debate for atleast 2 years steadily. It was before the concerns about the other styles of video games were spoken of as a concern creating a lack of empathy for those of age going into the military and being required to conduct Drone warfare that mimics the games that generation grew up as normal average video games on the market to choose from.

Corporations make money for people who do not work at the company, and do not work for the company. The people who pull in the profits are shareholders-- outside investors who own shares in that company. At a corporation, workers are paid a fraction of the value of their labor.

Co-operatives make money for the people who work directly in that store, at that company. There are no outsiders who pump the profits away from the workers. At a co-op, workers are paid close to the full value of their labor.

There was not a cheat code to conduct a rape scene. Modders were able to unlock it because it was an unused mingame that was still in the code. It was not a cheat code though. It is also not a rape scene, just a sex scene.

The random stuff you are talking about here is not what it seems like the op is talking about. For years certain politicians and religious leaders have tried to blame music or video games for all kinds of crimes. Usually it is not "this specific crime was caused by this specific game". It is "kids are bad because of games and movies in general".

At 32 psi tire pressure (46 absolute) inside and 14 absolute outside, a decrease of 10% pressure would leave you with 41.4 absolute inside vs 12.6 outside. The relative pressure has dropped by, you guessed it, 10%. Now you're at a 28.8psi.

However, there are other factors at play, too. The atmosphere's pressure depends on both its temperature and volume, and its volume is not limited by any container, so a hotter atmosphere will expand but the pressure can stay the same.

In fact, the pressure does stay the same, because it is the weight of the air in the atmosphere that gives it pressure, whereas in a tire it is the tire walls stretching and keeping the air in that gives it pressure.

This all compounded by the nonlinear PV-T behavior of tire gas, especially water, which sees a huge pressure/volume drop as you approach 0 degrees c. Our atmosphere also has water in it, though, so without my first two points this wouldn't matter.

I'm pretty sure they do not condense. Maybe I need to look into it, but I am almost certain it's just that all things contract when cold. This is why I'm some old houses windows and doors don't shut right in the cold.

This means the same amount of air takes up less space and you need more. When this air gets warm you may end up with a little too much pressure.

The "plans" in movies and games require so many things to go correctly and the criminals to have so much information that they are all basically some kind of fantasy or sci fi movie.

But no, movies and games often have a disclaimer that nothing in them relates to real life. Hell, games that cannot possibly in anyway relate to real life will have that.

They have. Grand Theft Auto was in the News and used as the Poster Child for influencing and condoning some of the worst crimes imaginable and was the First mainstream home video game that had Cheat Codes to conduct Rape Scenes. You should be able to find old News and Media Programs that have this very question as the topic (unless the internet has been culled of choice pieces of history already,) which is fathomable

Forget video game logic where one man has to kill a hundred enemies while they keep swarming. In a "fair" fight where both sides have the same number of troops, each soldier only has to kill one enemy, ever, to "pay" for himself in efficiency terms. If you shoot 20 arrows with a 5% accuracy rate, that's fine, you've done your job. If you shoot more arrows or have higher accuracy then you profit.

Further, you don't even have to wipe out all the enemies. If they lose morale and flee after half their troops are dead then you only need half the accuracy or fire amount to pay for yourself.

A human life is kind of a big deal, firing a couple dozen arrows to kill one man can easily be efficient regardless of accuracy.

Ahh okay. So they don’t just slow down and give less pressure - they actually condense into water, and give no pressure at all then?

I don’t think I ever would’ve thought of them turning to water.

Follow up - if you’re interested - how does this affect the pressure of the tire if you fill it up in the winter, and then it gets warmer out? Wouldn’t that make the psi too high?

When it gets cold enough, the air in the tire condenses, i.e. transforms into water droplets and takes up less space in the tire. After driving for a bit, it heats back up and will often return to full pressure until it gets cold again.

I wouldnt be worried. Not sure why they are jumping strait to diabetes. Sugar and salt both cause cells to lose water and make you thirsty. Unless you are becoming ridiculously thirsty and peeing a ton more, you shouldn't be concerned.

I think people who aren't getting thirsty just aren't noticing it in the same way that you notice it with salt. I think its probably because salt has a stronger effect on your mouth feel, which can make you feel thirsty, even before the salt really effects the water levels in your cells.. also we are much more accustom to eating sugar in ways that also include liquid, like soda and juice, where as salty liquids are pretty much only with soup broth or something.

But salt and sugar both have nearly the same effect on the water within cells, which is what will truly make your body thirsty, past the feeling of a salty mouth that needs to be quenched.
