A small addition or aside to the conversation, but clippers are a neat version of the classic flint and steel.

Star shaped wheel for easy grip. Removable poker with the gas button to poke or fix things, and easier to refill if need be then most cheap lighters if you find one you like as well as the flint and steel being very easy to replace. Also costs as much as a Bic where I am.

Narcan is not something you’d abuse, it either does nothing or makes you come down from a high, either way it’s does the opposite of motivating you to use it again. Also availability depends on the state. Many places have politicians who intentionally limit access to narcan, even ban first responders from using it, despite clear evidence that it saves lives.

Because it's the only thing we know that can sustain life

It's true that you can possibly make non-carbon-based life, but we have no idea what any signs of that life would be, so we just stick with what we know what our form of life makes (C02, methane, etc)

Queer means "generally LGBTQ in some nonspecific way"

It very intentionally does not mean anything specific. Could be because they're not sure themselves of anything other than not being hetero or cis, could mean they just don't want to tell you anything specific.

Either way, it doesn't refer to one specific kind of person because it isn't supposed to.

To answer the question in a bit more depth, the Big 4 (EY, PwC, KPMG, and Deloitte) have management consultancies. MCs advise company management on how to enact specific changes in their organization. This typically falls into one of three catagories:

  • Strategic: High level business decisions, like which markets to enter, which products to launch, which companies to purchase/divest, etc. The big stuff that the C-suite is invovle with.

  • Process: How to actually implement a given strategic priority. Like, if you decide to sell a new product, how do you operationalize that? What does your sales model look like? How do you optimize the manufacturing and supply chain? How do you set up a shared service center to handle support issues?

  • Technology: The actual software and tech that allows for the change. If you decide that you need new CRM software, how do you actually implement that and get it integrated with your existing technology stack.

The software devs will work with the consultants in the third example - the consultants will do the design and planning to ensure that the business objectives of the technology are met, while the software devs will actually do the coding and implementation to those requirements.

I thought you were referring to intellect as I was if you would be so kind as to acknowledge. And yes of course we do because we have the intelligence to do so. Can I not go into space? Can a lion breach the cosmos? We’re on the same page bud. But I don’t like your attitude.

The main issue is time- once someone is told they are allergic to something and should carry an epipen in case of anaphylaxis, why require a prescription for it?

If you forget to pack one for your kid on vacation, should you need to see a doctor to get one?

Our nerves use electricity among other mechanisms to coordinate very vital things like heart rate, breathing and the entire brain. Throwing in a bunch of external electricity can make any sort of crazy malfunction happen.
