I made a Russian honey cake a few years back and I definitely skipped a lot of layers when I made mine cause I was just sick of the process, lol. But now I want to make one again and with blueberries like yours! Thanks for the inspiration - it looks amazing!

It's essentially mochi butter cake with corn in it! I made mochi butter cake for a party recently, and I was contemplating doing this exact thing!

I thought it was too risky for a work event, but I'm glad it turned out amazing.

Should Russians that have citizenship in another country and are against the war just never ever mention their own culture without taking about the war?

It's a just a cake, your comment is asinine.

It looks very well done, if it's homemade it's quite impressive.

I am just a sucker for the traditional filling with raisins and candied fruit

I mean, I was just trying to give you context on dealing with these as a fresh product. I've used cipollini onions a few times, and I could peel and chop a couple of full sized onions in the time it would take just to boil the water to get these peeled. If you can find them in your freezer section, I would go for those instead.
