Haha, I did order finger steaks when I was home in idaho recently and had such a stomach ache afterwards! Let's say the food here in NZ is a lot better quality (although they make weird things with it).

Years ago they had these candles in mini cast irons on clearance. I wish I had bought more.

Couldn’t tell you I’ve never made bun bo hue. But it might be thin sliced shank. You can tell cause there’s usually a lot of tendon built into the shank. In Chinese we call it 牛腱, but 腱translates into tendon in my Chin/Eng dictionary.
