I use Blue Moon to braise chicken thighs and squeeze the juice from 2 oranges in it. It's fantastic.

For beef stew with red wine, try adding some soy sauce, a ton of minced garlic, and a bit of sugar. It should taste like a Korean BBQ stew when you're done. The sour flavor from the red wine should get balanced by the salty and sweet, with the garlic to give it a nice aromatic kick.

I upvote everyone who pointed out this yankee stew has beans, which is perfectly acceptable. I also enjoy beans in my yankee stew.

Anyone who knows beans about chili knows chili ain’t got no beans.
