No hoisin? I add that to mine and use brown sugar instead of regular sugar and chicken broth instead of rice wine in mine, the rest of the ingredients are the same.
Oh and ginger/garlic, but I saute those in the pan before mixing them into the sauce.

Just made this tonight. Curious as to your glaze recipe. Mine uses sugar, soy sauce, cornstarch, rice wine, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.

Did the bone slide out well? Love it when the shoulder blade slips out with no meat still attached. And so much flavor from being cooked bone in.
