It's just salt water with boric acid. It's not harmful.

Visine (and others) that have tetrahydrolozine in them can be very toxic if ingested. It's not as toxic as portrayed in the movies, but it can cause death and has been used for that purpose.

 We rewatched Mission Impossible 1 today and at the scene where they spike the coffee with eye drops I say to my wife "that's actually really dangerous and can kill you." She proceeds to ask the echo and Alexa got really dark with her response!!!
