You'd be right but technology gets harder to improve the higher you go up. Going from 1mhz to 3ghz was really impressive, but the technological advancements needed to double that even further are insane.
Its like this, the iPhone 1 was released in 2007 and had a 2MP camera. And the iPhone 7 has a 12MP camera and was released in 2014. That's like in another 7 years the iPhone 15 had a 22MP camera. Sure it might *seem* like the same thing, but there's reason the phone's been at 12MP for a while. Your not doing the same thing you did from 1mhz to 3ghz as your doing from 3ghz to 6ghz
Linear progression with exponential technological advancements.

Just completely unnecessary the shit these companies do with new technology.
A great many things I have which do not need to be connected to the internet to function.
When I grow up….older than I am currently… I will produce goods that last a long time and do not require a subscription or internet access to function. I will make a meager profit, as that is all that is necessary.

you don't have to invest a day of reading for an iphone to just work.
backwards support is much worse for android. new API versions just aren't supported by older systems causing glitches, crashes, inefficient opperation, etc.
apple completely clamps down on shit like that.
and no, apple is still better privacy wise. android does very little to protect your device. there are custom niche versions out there that do it better but even those are not good.

Mine did like 4.3GHz on air, couldn't cool it with the voltage needed to go faster.
Watercooled it in 2018, got as high as 4.95GHz but wasn't willing to use any more voltage to go faster.
Ended up degrading it over ~6 months, now it won't do over 4.8GHz.
Probably should have just settled on 4.8GHz, as that required way less voltage.

Yes. So you can connect your stupid cord.
Or you can join the dark side and use wireless.

The phrase "is referred to" is too vague for my taste. I'm all for descriptive language when it comes to the everyday, but for technical terms, I think definitions are what should matter.
With that said, AI is certainly not defined in terms of human intelligence. "Aeronautical engineering texts do not define the goal of their field as making machines that fly so exactly like pigeons that they can fool even other pigeons" (stuart russel).
Also, AI is not defined by corporations. It's defined by computer scientists. As for delineating to the masses, I think the answer to that is proper education.
Your TV turning on when you walk into a room IS AI. It's not a dumbed down definition, it's the definition widely agreed upon by computer scientists. Just because marketing is deplorable doesn't make it otherwise.

I know you’re joking but when my partner and I are cold in our room, I literally sometimes decide to start gaming or making AI images to run in the background so the room heats up. It will go from 65 to 80 in about an hour or 2. Not even joking I use my PC as a heater sometimes

I have actuallt never seen an Android app not work on an Android phone that was on a somewhat reasonable older version (like 8.0 kind of is currently). I have however seen apps act up specifically in brand terms. Sometimes an app will not work on a certain Samsung device or similar.
And ontop of that you can install literally any Android version on most android phones if you are willing to invest a day of reading through guides (and have an unlockable phone), I mean there was the Android 10 patch for the 2011 Galaxy S2 and even new apps ran on that. Issues came mostly from insufficient hardware, which is of course not as much a problem on apple phones because there is no budget segment. A 2018 Galaxy J Something will struggle with anything 2023 way before flagships.
But in general, backwards support is mostly good for both OSes and I wouldn't want to discredit apple there.
In privacy terms however I disagree as recent events have shown. If you watch rossmann, you would know about some of those anyways though.

Yes, but what I'm saying is that per the building code, you need insulation. You also need electrical (but obviously that can be face-mounted). Perhaps some of the interior walls can be painted concrete, but the exterior walls will all have to be studded and drywalled (in most areas). Those studs can also be structural. So you are basically installing 2 structural walls instead of one.
All of the "savings" that these houses claim to have can easily be done with standard, current construction practices; you just need the lead time and planning to do it. Which is exactly why no one does it.

It’s a mandated 5 but recently was pushed out to 7 years of software & hardware support for Apple phones & computers. In some cases it can be up to 10 years.
If an Apple Store has the parts they will service your device. If they don’t they often times know a local shop that still holds inventory for old parts.

With a dongle that
- will on average break much sooner than the headphones or audio jack so one has to buy a new one
- in most cases allows you to either charge OR use Headphones
- might fuck up your sound quality because 99.99% of those dongles come from china and have questionable specifications
- is a hassle to carry around all the time just in case one wants to listen to music and lost way too easily ?

It doesn't have to be a "this or that" scenario.
Motorola and Nokia still have the headphone jack and bluetooth so people can pick.
If it was a cost measure, no one would've batted an eye had the price been an extra €5-€10.

No, those spaces have rebar in them and will be filled with concrete. Otherwise the structure would have no lateral strength at all.
