Pretty sure they have MagSafe 2.

It's not that fast tbh, slower than pcie3.0 SSDs on PC.

I seriously doubt this is any reason for apple at all.

No.
Believe it or not you can dislike osx and not unix.
I'll take my arch distro over anything Apple offers.

Tensor is actually pretty weak. Google's priority isn't the speed or power of Tensor. SD 8 Gen 2 is a much better example though it still isn't as powerful as the A16 Bionic.

Why get an apple TV without other apple devices? Thought the point of having all of the devices under apple is that they connect with each other? You can get a Roku tv or firestick for less money and it'll work the same.

The Apple "family" stuff can only be managed from an Apple device. And unlike Android, I can't put another user on one of my kid's iPhones, so I have to keep an old iPad in my office and the only time I ever use it is when I need to change a family setting.
Super annoying, honestly.

I got a MacBook Air M1 and an iPhone se3 at the same time. For a brief moment, it was possible to get both a new iPhone and new apple laptop for $1300 bucks total in the 2020s.

I have a M1 Pro MacBook with 16GB ram. I am constantly utilizing about ~13 GB using it. So I do think for 13 inch M2 MBP, 8GB is a bit shabby with starting price of 1299.

I'd like to see how powerful this thing is graphically. The M1s challenged some of the mid-tier GPUs IIRC.

IKR! RAM is only going to help with the # of shit you're running, I personally barely use my phone. As far as CPU? You say the iPhone is faster? The tensor holds up pretty well, and new CPUs are coming out almost daily. But really, are you seeing "massive" difference in performance between different phone generations? Oh boy, got me on that 1 millisecond faster load time on some shitty game!

Me. As far as I know, no Android device will allow me to watch movies I've purchased from the Apple store. I can however watch Google purchased movies on the Apple TV.

I am not an Apple person. Many people would go further and describe me as an Apple hater.
I do just prefer the Android ecosystem and that is where all my portable devices sit.
I do however own an Apple TV. I wanted a device with all of the various streaming services on (UK) and even allows me to watch my Google purchased movies via the YouTube app.
I also wanted a streamer that 'just works", fully supports Dolby Vision and has very minimal lip-sync issues. I am that person who owns only a single Apple product and it's an Apple TV.
If I want to be able to access the movies I've purchased through the Apple Store, I need to stick with it.

I’d be curious to know this as well. I’m not entirely sure it’s “the last thing they buy” considering it’s dirt cheap in comparison to other Apple products and (arguably) a very nice product with lots of great features, but I could definitely be wrong here.
Full disclosure, I’m an Apple fanboy for sure but I’m also a UX designer and really appreciate how easy the Apple TV interface is to use. I bought my 72 year old mother one for Christmas a couple years ago (she’s an Android user) and it’s honestly the only tech she doesn’t call me asking how to use. In fact, she freaking loves that thing.
