Of note you can stream your Android to the Apple TV, I think it's only native to certain brands and a paid app otherwise though.

If it prompts differently, it's not a bug but still bad design, just the commenter found a workaround (thankfully) to it.

Doesn't matter. M1 and M2 chips invisibly run Intel code under emulation and do it impressively fast. Faster than the Intel chips run the same code in some cases.

The Mac has way better power efficiency.

They're talking about the SSD, not the SoC.

Exactly thats partly because apple’s 2TB costs 1,000 US dollars while in reality that storage has an actual value of only 120 dollars. And thats based off 2022 prices. I bet in 2018 that price was tripled

No, it's even mentioned when you try to pick memory.
>Note: Unified memory is not user accessible. If you think you’ll need additional memory, consider upgrading at the time of purchase.

Slightly off topic but connected with Apple unveiling products - is there any information about Apple possibly releasing an updated iMac 24 with the M2 chip this year?

Apps don’t need to be compiled for ARM to run on ARM.

well the 2020 M1 Pro (13" Touchbar) was even longer. Apple marketed the Air as 18 and Pro as 20, and some tests found longer times, but the Pro still longer.

Nope. The 2020 M1 Air had a tested battery life of 20 hours.

Don't you need an adapter? I like how it's integrated on the Apple TV.. I believe Roku has or had a model with Ethernet port as well, but I'm not a fan of their os and interface.

It’s the tradeoff of an SOC. Faster performance but no upgrade path post purchase. I get the argument both ways.

This. These complaints come from people who would never need/use more than 8 or 16GB. Big Sur runs great on a 2014 8GB Mini. MacOS is extremely efficient in its use of RAM. The M processors make up for any loss, and if that's not enough, you shouldn't be buying a Mini.

You can stream iTunes content online, so it works on Android, just not as well.
