If you've looked up a smartphone review on youtube sometime in the last 10 years, you've probably seen his content come up. I just find it hard to believe that anyone who is even slightly interested in technology hasn't heard of him. This is like someone who is into pc hardware never having heard of Linus Tech Tips.

He’s respected in the tech world to the point that he’s been given one-on-one interviews with people like Bill Gates, Satya Nadella, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Craig Federighi. Google invited him to the 2022 Met Gala.

If you followed tech even a little, you’d know who he is.

I feel like this "cannibalization" argument that always comes up, fails to take into account, that it' not about cannibalizing iPad vs. MacOS. I think it would be more about unifying the MacOS and iOS userbase, making it an even bigger total market for app (and games) developers to target. Also, don't forget, that expansion could also come in the shape of PC users choosing Mac instead, if a real (and good) alternative existed to touch-based PC's, such as the Surface Pro that I'm typing this os.

I'm using an M1 Air with 8GB and the only time I've seen it start to bog down was when trying to use Unity. That was the first time I ever had that "it's running slow because I'm running it on a laptop" feeling while using my MacBook

Yup. Literally just checked it before I posted in case I was making an ass of myself. I don't have any purchased content from Apple so can't fully test it but there's a Library section which when selected tells me I haven't purchased anything.

I genuinely wasn't aware of that. So the AppleTV App does allow you to play back purchased movies from iTunes?
That opens up my options should Apple make it near impossible for me to keep on using the Apple TV box as my only Apple device.

You can watch all AppleTV (including purchased content) on a Chromecast Ultra. I imagine it would work on any Google TV device.
