Well it's probably a dud. My GaNPrime 65W does not feel hot even in full load.

Whether or not they lied is a separate issue to whether or not your camera data was feasibly vulnerable to attack.

It's the high tech equivalent of a DiWhy. I love eink but this project makes no sense outside of it being art.

Full color is coming out. It will be a game changer when price comes down.
Everything that doesn't need video will move to eink because it is so much lower power and better daylight readability than LCD.

That is how innovation starts. Unless you’re getting secret alien blueprints from the centre of the hollow earth.

I got mine for a trip to Uganda and the model number has rubbed off, welp!

Sort of like an MPX 2.0. This would make sense if they can't just keep scaling the whole SOC up. GPU is the thing you always need more of in video editing... not so much with RAM and CPU past a certain point.
At this point they just need to announce the thing... the natives are getting restless. Although the loudest group seem to be people who essentially want a slotbox they can stick PC parts in... and run Windows. I'm sure they're in for a fun time.

There's not much to it, it's just a magnetic case/shell into which you place the batteries. Xtar even allows you to use smaller batteries in it as well (half-size 18650, forgot the correct designation), can't really mess it up in any way as far as I know.
I bought it as a charger for 18650 since I have some lithium battery flashlight, but the power bank function ended up being even more useful.
Some new flashlights have a reverse-charging powerbank function too. Probably Wurkkos of Sofirn. Though don't fall too deep into that flashlight enthusiast rabbit hole. If you've never owned an enthusiast flashlight, it's amazing how powerful they are compared to the stuff they normally sell in stores. And interestingly, quality western made flashlights are very rare, the chinese are the best in this field and you can get the best flashlights easily on aliexpress.

Apple does this all the time. Prototypes of all sorts. They don’t always make it but sometimes the features does.
Apple was never really at the forefront of bleeding edge tech but they make it better than anyone else

Works to charge an Apple Watch also without shutting off. Yes xtar is great.

Kitchens come flat packed and are hung on the wall. Massive improvement on how it was done before. Laser measuring, CAD software, precision cutting tables.

a 30W GaN is not expected to become scalding hot during normal operation. no other device in my lineup - that draws identical wattage - elicits an identical response.

This, is exactly what I suspect they’re gonna bring to the table. 8x PCI-E x16, pluggable SOC’s. If they’re like M1/M2 you could make the whole board just a backplane.

I’m sticking out for a Westworld phone - the screen itself doesn’t have to bend, it’s just multiple displays that line up just right.
I have a feeling that the whole bending display material thing is a red herring, something that will be discarded 5-10 years from now when an obviosly better and less failure-prone approach appears

Samsung Mobile and Samsung Electronics (or whatever their names are) are technically different companies under the same chaebol.

If you like them then I won’t try to convene you otherwise but I’m still not sold on foldable devices.
I’d much rather be able to have my glasses function as AR lenses or holograms that don’t require special glasses.

The people who actually need the power of a Mac pro can easily afford a mac pro and it’ll pay for itself over its lifespan. These aren’t consumer machines, neither is the Mac Studio.
At the end of the day your average user is unlikely to even scratch the surface of what a Mac Mini with an M2 Pro can do (if that). The Pro line is for workstation grade hardware that’s designed for stuff like high end video editing / compositing and such.
If anything Apple has watered down the “Pro” name by slapping it on literally everything but the fact remains that a true Mac Pro isn’t meant for everyone and it hasn’t been since at least the low end 2010 models.

So, companies are creating a problem that they will "fix" with pricier product.
There are bunch of people who would buy smaller phones, me included. But I had to buy an older used model as the new models are just too expensive (s10e vs s22)
