That’s a good point. I’m maybe a bit surprised at the design of anything - it subjective, yes - it just doesn’t look like it’s going to be especially competitive on that front

Not to be a smart ass, but I cant help but wonder just how clear a picture taken of a spot on earth would be (and what magnification level) with this camera.

I’m kinda imagining this as essentially a space-based microscope 😂

I'm assuming they're not that concerned with being a major contender in the market, or a driver of big change in the world. As long as they sell enough, make enough profit to satisfy their relatively small number of investors, and are making the best open source smart speaker they can, they should be satisfied with that. They offer an alternative, and that can be good enough to bring them moderate success.
