TLDR: too many ads, too many apps/subscriptions. But it’s not all bad news:

I have the latest Chromecast as well. I don't mind the remote except for the dedicated YouTube and Netflix buttons but your right about everything being slow.

I like my Apple TV. No lag on any app, which was my big complaint with my built in fire tv I was using previously. I got it on sale for around $100 which was probably still overpriced, but its been nothing but smooth.

I use the latest Chromecast. Works fine for me - but I'm not one to use the homepage for suggestions - inside the streaming apps are better for that.
What I don't understand is why it, and I assume most other streaming boxes are the same, is the processor SO slow. It feels no better than using a box from 10 years ago.
Also I hate the remote. But I can use my phone.

I simply connect a PC directly to my TV.

Sounds like the folks at the Verge wish to complain again.
Moving on...

Hopefully they introduce a monitor size of at least 27" if not 32" to go alongside the 24" version. One can dream.

I think my bigger question is a MacPro how? It's obvious you could have a "Mega" or "Extreme" chip with more cores, more GPU cores, etc.. whether that's M2-class or M3-class, etc.
The question on my mind is that Pro workstations usually allow expansion and huge amounts of memory and storage. I know people who would pay for 512GB, etc.
So far, the M-series has required purchasing integrated memory up-front (i.e., little expansion) and relatively limited amounts of memory and storage. (128GB RAM, 8TB SSD in the Studio).
That's my question.. how do they offer 512GB or 1TB memory? Do they have some sort of tiered system with 128GB on-board and expansion slots and PCI?

If they start releasing a new processor every year it’s going to be a shit show.

Our new CEO insisted they needed a fully specced MBP. After they got it, they realized they didn’t really understand the MacOS interface and switched to a PC 😤

Could do a lot of stuff. Doesn't make it news. Could break the record for most marshmallows in one nostril.

Weird camera choice though. A larger 4mp camera is still only a 4mp camera.

Roku is still pretty damned solid. I use the stick with a wifi remote and only get non-intrusive ads for Roku channel and occasionally something else on the home screen only. This guy is just a dope.
