They also delivered the first mainboard upgrade for their original laptop. It’s on my list when I retire my desktop this year. I’m glad to see them making headway and love their GPU module idea. I’ll be fine with Iris Xe and more battery life, but this is cool for those that need it.

I read (most of the article).
The person who was slipped the AirTag hadn’t been charged with a crime which they bring to attention to say “maybe the boomer FED agent tipped off the person and fucked up the investigation”.

It's more than fast enough for what you'd legit expect to do on a laptop like this, though.

USB is not nearly as fast enough to carry a modern GPU.

Oh, good. Finally usb is fast enough to not have to worry about internal motherboard contacts. Now we can actually just have a small enclosure and plug an external card into any laptop-sleeve with usb! Perfect!
But wait, dear nerds, hearken to this! - A company will now allow you to buy a specially fitted module, for absurd amounts of money, that you can /slot into the back of only a single type of laptop/ via USB4! Not bad, eh!!! Eh!!!
(Also, here's some flak about mxm egpu solutions, because it's not Mac enough)
Seriously, though - the keyboard modules are fantastic. That'd save me a day of pulling fused plastic pips off the plate on the back of the motherboard on a laptop, to get another keyboard replacement in. Why not sell the laptop on that? "No need to replace your entire laptop if the spacebar breaks".

Hear me out put them on the cars, it can be a little rough up there as well but no where near as hazardous to the panels as in between the things like auto carriers tanks and a variety of hoppers you get like 200sqft per car just on the top empty a car is 30-40 ton so adding another 2% for panels and energy storage isn’t a big deal the extra operating cost to the train is minimal on flats trains run like 1.0-1.6 HPT (horsepower per ton) to maintain 60 mph, the engines are already diesel electric just spend the payout through the engine and the added wind will help keep the panels free of debris.
I reckon you could top and side the cars and guarantee solar production from top and one side at a time 100 cars on a double set train x400sq ft top and one side =40,000 sq feet of solar panel x 20 watts =800,000 watts / 750 watts per hp it’s a bonus 1000+hp in the sunlight pretty good considering 100loaded cars can be pulled by 8800hp.

I’m working on some experimental creative audio / video hardware projects and would use a Thunderbolt hub for my prototyping workstation to connect and manage those device controllers .

Recommend Plugable! I have been using a Plugable USB-3 7-port hub in my VW campervan for about 8 years with no trouble! It has been a rock solid performer throughout the heat, dust, vibration and humidity of New Mexico. Runs directly from the DC auxiliary system which can hit almost 15v from the solar panels, but has never burned out from overvoltage. Every port still works but now USB-C adapters are adding to its footprint in an already crowded van. Very impressed with it and when I do upgrade to USB-C I'll definitely be getting a Plugable hub.

my existing thunderbolt3 dock runs really hot and I'd love to replace it, having one makes WFH a lot easier.

Man - put what you said on a Tinder profile but end it with "Ask me how." The hits and ensuing conversations would be qualitatively fascinating.

insert is to put in between or into, while inject is to administer an injection to (someone or something), especially of medicine or drugs.
The key here being that the object going into the body can in this case be injectable, compared to other implant methods that are more appropriately described as inserting.

You mean instead of 2-3 needles and a saw injectable is just one needle?

Surgical incision and insertion.
rumblesnort t1_jdb1d6i wrote
Why use the term 'injectable'? How else would you get an implant in there? Staples?
