I thought about building a PC the other day. A 3050 alone costs more than my Series S did.

It’s not a question of affordability for me, it’s a question of justification. What does spending £800-1000 on an entry level machine actually get me, above and beyond my console?

Is whatever that is, actually worth a 3/4x cost of entry versus what I paid for my Series S? I just don’t see it anymore.

These prices, you could buy a PS5, Series X, Switch, and a Steam Deck for the same price as the flagship cards.

I am saying I don't want to find out all the money which went to China to use the factories of the world went into three things corrupt officials, Military build-up, and buying real estate and companies in western companies neither the Chinese people nor Western people have profited and in the western world, the profits are in the hand of a few shareholders at the expense of the working people so I think we don't need to do this again...

You're correct, but Apple dictates which versions of OSX they'll support on which hardware. Windows just runs on any hardware and continues to update. As does Linux. Apple decides it's not worth their effort (but really just want you to buy a new computer). Anyone who's owned an older Apple knows the drill.

Cost of Labor is a huge cost. It makes a lot of difference in the eventual margins that these companies are looking to have.

I am sure they can survive if they bring the manufacturing to US but their profits would be less than half of what they can currently get. Which means shareholders will not be happy.

It’s all about money.
