Looks similar to a Hobie kayak with pedals. I wonder if the effort is about the same? It doesn’t look like it’s suited for offloading on a beach though.

Wow, apparently the workaround isn't to turn off the feature but to turn the phone on airplane mode. How do they not have a toggle for it? I have Car crash detection on my Pixel too but it's a simple on/off setting. Glad I can just turn it off when at an amusement park, I imagine they will add a toggle now that it's a known issue.

You can get a used small sailboat with an outboard for that much. Won’t be nice, but I’ve seen plenty around me for that.

They first said to contact a reseller. I then asked who, they pointed me at a distributor, who replied and said they only work with their resellers and aren’t involved in direct customer replacements. Back to Sony who were surprised, then suggested I look at the Sony website. The list consisted of a couple of companies that don’t exist any more, PC World, etc. contacting a few of the companies that did exist (eg lord electrical) no repairs.

As for replacing the battery, I don’t have the skills. Cutting into electronics isn’t my skill set.
