I was in college at the time. There was a zip file demo of chapter one. I bet I downloaded and installed that game on dozens of machines in computer clusters all over the campus that year. Great times, not so great GPA.

One of the first games we had on the family computer. My grandfather had it installed along with Doom. Fun simpler times.

Sucks that Duke 3D is the best we going to get and Forever will be the last game in the series.

Do we really need that? Do you think Duke's one liners and character archetype would work in today's world? I mean, I don't mind, it's just a character, but you know that there'd be a whole horde of people being angry about Duke's lines and shit like that

I miss Duke. Never played Forever due to the length of the game. People say it’s short. 3d will stay the one in my soul

The cowboys should sign Duke as a field goal kicker

Too bad this was the last game in the series they made. Not that they should try in modern times, the appeal of the game simply wouldn't fly.

Is 27 significant in some way?

It really bothers me when game companies do something on the anniversary for a series but it's like the 24th anniversary or 13th or some shit. Decades are good times to do them, multiples of 5 are passable. But I don't get 27

This remind me of when you beat Duke Nukem: Time to kill on the hardest level, you get to see Duke's bunghole lmfao! "Nice dress, fat boy!"

I could see them doing a sort of Austin Powers or Demolition Man thing where Duke gets thawed out and has to learn about life in the new world. It'd even be an excuse to bring back the "Bombshell" concept of giving him a female partner. He learns about modern nomenclature; she learns to have fun kicking ass and chewing bubblegum. It could work.

Barely played this one but Duke Nukem 64 was my favorite. The co-op was epic.
