I feel as though I have not fallen as much as I would have expected to from the videos I’ve seen haha. Does holding the two triggers make you nearly immune to falling? I think I’ve only taken one real tumble and it was pretty insignificant. Maybe I should play on hard instead of normal?

No it isn't lol. Plenty of people frequently shit on borderlands 1 and say exactly what you're saying.

I personally like it the best out of all 3 of them, it has my favorite gunplay and the skil trees don't have a wall of text for each node. It's simple and straightforward to play.

Borderlands 3 was great for the first month but I found myself getting bored with having to use a small handful of meta builds for each character, and most of which require exploiting broken item synergies that allow you to 1 shot God with a splash weapon. I also didn't like or feel much of a connection to any of the 4 characters you get to choose from.

All of these games are literally just shoot hordes of enemies to grind so you can grind better later. More complicated doesn't necessarily mean better, objectively speaking

For me it was simple: no video game has ever captured the mechanical joy of running down a hill as well as Death Stranding. I could list a bunch of other reasons I enjoyed it but when I think back to my time with the game, it all comes back to running down hills.

There is a looney tunes Taz game for the Nintendo DS, where you have to use the touchscreen to spin a ball to make him move, one of the bosses in that game is a giant metal dog thing that chases you down while making these disgusting chomping sounds, then it runs into lava and becomes more and more disfigured and corrupt until it finally melts, but that actually still appears in my nightmares so many years later
