Yea awesome community - when I first started I would put up in chat that I was learning to tank or it was my first run bd people were super patient.

After years of trying to find mobile games or free games that aren't an absolute pain to play due to microtransactions and paywalls, I've given up. Even when games are fun and free, they are built around the idea of getting me to pay money as much as possible and interact with their ways of spending money as much as possible, rather than playing the game.

I no longer even bother with games that have battlepasses, microtransactions, loot boxes, etc. I'm just done. Even when I find the odd 1 in a million that's good and does it well, it's only after wasting too much time with the other ones hoping it will be good.

I'm happy to pay money for a complete game. I love stuff like cosmetics and customizing and it's a shame that almost every game keeps that stuff locked behind these trash MTX systems now. Few games bake them into their actual full game anymore.

Yea totally. Most fights I’m familiar with (ffxiv) the moves will start to repeat, so if you don’t get that perfect dps, so what, it’s just another cycle of moves you should see coming

I play a female in any game with character creation because I find it easier to make a satisfying female character instead of trying to make a male character but if it's a game where there's a premade male and female option I'll usually go male since it's more relatable for roleplay.

Not that I have anything against guys who play female characters. I've done it myself a few times. But I find this excuse kind of cringey. You don't need an excuse, just play the way you want to.

As a guy, I always play male characters when given the choice. I feel more immersion playing as what I am irl. Playing a female would feel weird to me in a rpg, for example.

The "I'd rather stare at a female ass for x hours than a males" reason always makes me roll my eyes though.

I definitely did. The PS2 worked great as a dvd player and the remote was far easier to use than the controller. The remote was also wireless like any tv remote and the controller was not.
