I will say SWTOR is okay but I got stuck early in the game and gave up becuase of the leveling mechanism. With FFXIV, I sped run that thing and finished the main story quest in 3 weeks' time all the way to Endwalker before the recent update.

I'm gonna have to defer to FFXIV based on leveling game mechanics.

Survival horror?

I was under the impression that you got sufficient weapons and ammo

In Alien Isolation you literally can't kill the Xenomorphs and are being actively hunted down by them. On Nightmare mode resources are really scarse

There are objective measures that can be looked at beyond one's subjective enjoyment to make an evaluation. For example, I like the movie Ultraviolet. But it's story incoherent, the CGI is horrible even for 2006, the acting is wooden, and by any standard of filmmaking it is a bad movie. Those aren't arbitrary measures. But for some reason I enjoy it as stupid mindless fun.

I don't need to justify my enjoyment of that movie by claiming it is "good" because it isn't. It is very possibe to distinguish between the overall merit of a game, movie, show, etc. and one's own subjective enjoyment of it.

Black Flag is the standard. Its mostly standalone in terms of story, by which i mean that even though there's a lot of references to past games, the information can be soaked up rather easily and filtered. In terms of gameplay, it is one of the most versatile in the franchise (from the ones i played).

Assassins creed 2 is a good one for story, but for the best experience imo, you'd need to continue on to Brotherhood and Revelations. Assassin Creed 1 is ok, but not entirely needed and Assassins Creed 3 is sort of an ending to the story, but it's not as good.

For any others, I either played only a bit or didn't play at all, so I can't say much except that they aren't fully tied to the original games in terms of story.

I have no issues with the quality of those games, it just annoyed me that we kept getting more of them instead of KH3 and that I had to buy a new handheld device if I wanted to play the new game all the time. I honestly really liked Birth By Sleep, but it was also like the only game I played on PSP.

Why would they?

There's a lot of reasons someone might want to play a female character. In Fallout 4 and 2077 because the female voice actor is hands down better. Sometimes the gear is cooler looking. Maybe you just want to. Even if you usually play as a male maybe it's your second playthrough and you want to try both protagonists.

Consequently, I feel like if you're playing as a female on an online game and the character creator sliders are generous so you make them fat assed and physic based enormous breasts and then run around being a stereotype you're likely NOT going to be popular among female gamers.
