I mean, the difference is right in the name. One prioritizes performance, the other quality. Whether frame rates are unlocked or not doesn't matter to most people, and the people that it does matter to are going to look it up

I wasn't accusing you of plagiarism I was just stating how crazy it was that I saw two unrelated post's comments about almost the exact same thing a couple weeks apart. Just nutty when the world works like that. Sorry for being downvoted. Wasn't me

With game development times these days, I think you're on to something.
The next "The Elder Scrolls" game is 10+ years out. Next "Fallout" could be just as long, if not longer.
Cyberpunk 2077 sequel could be around the same length of development time given CDPR track record.

I agree with you, at this point they have no reason to release a finished product.

Yeah, why would a game need to be in early access for 3 years? I’m not a fan of this early access stuff.

Star Citizen is an obvious one. It went off the rails about 6 years ago by my count, and I just stopped caring. They keep adding stuff for the sake of adding stuff, not even in service of fun or gameplay, but just to see if they can. I'm so past caring now it's not even funny, but I do hope someone wakes me up when it gets full VR support, like they promised in kickstarter campaign...back in 2012. If this game is out, with VR support, before 2032 I'll be very surprised.

Yh I didn't notice that for years either. Only when my sister mentioned it 🫣
Now is a great time to play 2 thou. If you run it on PCSX2 1.7.0 you can also link your RetroAchievements account and earn achievements like you do on Steam,PS or Xbox 😃 Also works on RetroArch.

because not everyone has the same opinions and what’s enjoyable to some may not be enjoyable to others. pretty simple to understand tbh

By modern, I hope you mean a return of the series and not a modern day interpretation. Call of Juarez The Cartel is a dark stain on an otherwise fun series.

I played the demo during Steam Days. I don't have any emotional ties to the original System Shock, and I don't plan to get the remake, but I was impressed by what I saw, in how they recreated the feel of the original while still feeling like a modern game.

My dude you don't play enough games with looting mechanics if you haven't run into several variations of "this thing has no pockets, how is it carrying a bazooka?"
The last bit is just a deviation used narrativley at times to add in an extra joke layer. It tends to make up for the need to shoehorn it with the comedy of the statement. In this case, that ten random gems enhances someone's sword and alludes to the fact that, in a very narrow view, these mechanics turn players into little loot goblins searching for random crystals inside dead things to improve items.
OP did a mash-up of video games and real life to turn the absurd logic that results into a joke. You're just taking it too literally. And I say that as someone who often does the same.
