It's got a ton of characters, though the core of the few main protagonists are the ones with the most weight on the overall story.
It has VERY detailed wolrdbuilding and a complex plot that gets exposed bit by bit and you can only understand all of that if you replay the game and take different decisions leading to seeing different events. Be prepared to read a lot though, especially if you also want to play sidequests that involve the secondary characters.
The battle system is engaging with a lot of factors to consider when planning, including terrain effects, height and cover. It's also really unforgiving and putting yourself in a bad position can lead to someone in your group getting ganged upon and knocked out fast.

Yes. I've been PC-gaming since late 90s and have an office job for 7 years now. Never had any issues with carpal tunnel or Tenosynovitis.

Quite frankly, I'm about to lose interest in Hollow Knight Silksong.
I'm even replaying the first HK from the start again, but I'm quickly getting bored.
"Most anticipated game", years of silence, various playable demos released in years, last update pretty much in September 2022. I'm really about to just pass on to Ori and goodbye.

Yeah, was thinking about 2004 myself. It's certainly the year that released my personal favorite games of all time

I was a Horde man throughout, but made a DK human to play with my friend's guild during WotLK. So I never really experienced the Alliance starting areas until later on trying the game again during WoD. Definitely felt cozy in the Dwarf/Gnome area getting out of the snow and into the pub.

Personally, while this might sound crazy, I think 2020 is pretty high up there. Not just because of the big releases. I just think the year proved how massive the games industry truly is. The pandemic hurt most other industries, but video games just grew. The perfect year for a game like animal crossing to come out as a lot of people who barely or never play games on a console went out of their way to start doing so.
People began to notice how massive the community is and we saw hype for a game like never seen before with Cyberpunk 2077. Again, people who typically never play games jumped along the hype train and even pre-ordered a game for the first time. It's almost impossible to explain just how anticipated this game was both within and outside of the gaming community.
There were plenty of big releases that year in various genres. Some continuations that pushed its own genre like Doom Eternal, but also continuations in series that has been dorment for a while like Crash Bandicoot 4, Serious Sam and Half Life Alyx. New experimental games like Dreams (if you can even call it a game) or My Friend Pedro or Death Stranding. Hype games finally releasing like the aforementioned Cyberpunk, but also The Last of Us Part 2 and Final Fantasy VII Remake.
Other notable games/events: Warzone released and were the first Battle Royale to fully compete with Fortnite. Fall Guys had the biggest spike and fall in the player base. Among Us, while not releasing that year, surprisingly became an internet juggernaut over night (another game that everyone played regardless of whether or not you typically played video games). Ghost of Tsushima released and semented itself as a PlayStation classic. Nintendo released Super Mario 3D Allstars, a remake of the biggest 3D Mario games, but only for a limited time.

It's more surprising when you get a commander who will request things instead of sitting on it and doing nothing.

2004 was killer. Metal gear solid 3. Half life 2. GTA San Andreas. Halo 2. World of Warcraft. Burnout 3. KOTOR 2. And many more. But 2001 will always be hard to beat

The first time i played WoW i picked Night Elf, yes a vulgar elf... i am not proud of my origins but it's not the conditions of your birth that determines who you are, or the mighty acts that you commit.
Now i play regularly Dwarf Fortress, Deep Rock Galactic and i changed the idraulic system in my home to use homebrew alcohol.
I would forge my own tools but i already got sued twice because of my garden forge and the high flames that you can see from afar.
I grew a beard and tend to it by giving it even more alcohol.

"I kill two dwarves in the morning, I kill two dwarves at night.
I kill two dwarves in the afternoon and then I feel alright.
I kill two dwarves in time of peace and two in time of war.
I kill two dwarves before I kill two dwarves and then I kill two more"
That's what I think of your best race.
Why did Blizzard remove that /joke anyway?
